Forgive me if I missed the post but I couldn't find any mention in the search ... DGD released this new song on June 15th. How about that SAX?

This track got me hyped for new DGD, it's been a long time since I've enjoyed their stuff this much!

Sax at the end makes me feel like I'm making my way through the crowd and onto the stage as they call my name on The Price Is Right.

If I had to guess, this was one of the scrapped songs /b-sides from last album, unless they already are back in the studio...

AFAIK they didn't have any b-sides to Mothership. Also this tweet Though it does seem really well fit into the Mothership flavor - everything from the composure to Tilian's harsher vocals in the first part of the chorus.

Not many more consistent bands in this scene than DGD - more good stuff.

I think Tillian is one of the best things to ever happen to Dance Gavin Dance. He fits really well and every song they make is great. And they put out albums way more frequently.

Whatever it is, these guys are some workhorses. Not many bands come to mind as being able to produce music both as often and at such high quality as these dudes. I think the downside is we catch 'em on tour a lot less frequently, and when they do come through it's an 11 or 12 song set and that's that. Not only do they pale in numbers next to other bands who headline (Senses Fail played a 20 song set on their last tour ) but have way too many hits for 12 to be enough songs on a live show. It stinks because I've really been in love with everything they've done since Tilian joined the band and I just want more. That said, they fact they can drop an A+ quality album in a year means I don't have a ton of room to grouse about this.

Haven't had the chance to see them yet but the amount of songs I'd put on their setlist is huge.

It's kinda miraculous that this band is still together. So many vocalist changes, and this is sonically the biggest shift I've heard from them. That autotune is pretty stark, so I think I'll pass on the full album.

That autotune is pretty stark, so I think I'll pass on the full album. You mean the less than 1 second "Ahhhh" in the beginning? Other than that there maybe are a few harmony lines with light modulation - No other auto-tune I can hear and sounds a lot like the songs on Mothership, not really a sonic shift. Unless you're talking about the sax, which is a welcome sonic shift.
