iTunes is easy enough for me. Drag and drop the folder and its copied into my library.
Never really was one for FLAC 320 is fine for me. Although saying that I cant say I've heard the difference between the two formats

I'm also a "folder + standalone music player" kind of guy. I'm getting lazy with the tags though.
Nowadays I mostly use Spotify.

Folders + Winamp. I've read Winamp doesn't offer the best audio quality, I've tried Fubar2000 for a while, but it's way too complicated. I find it so much easier to organise my folders directly in Windows

There are times when I have heard oddities and wondered if it would sound better in FLAC. For me, it is more about not having to ever convert anything. I have some classical music and musical scores which I listen to through Quick Look but it doesn't support FLAC, yet. I have some .oggs lying around too.

I have taken almost a year to sort all my music by genre and artist into folders I usually use Windows Media Player though. Spotify is a new favorite cause I can control the music with my phone

I just downloaded spotify because my mom called me to let me know she got a family subscription I need to learn to use it on my PC. It's been nice on my phone the last week but it'll be tough to beat itunes - if only because I'm so damn used to it.

ITunes because I have the best music player ever made (Ipod classic 120gb). I do miss legacy iTunes with the big old artwork in the corner, new versions have been lame. And seriously do they make a new update every week?

I'm still on iTunes...just what I've always had and works fine for me. Plus I still have an ipod Classic so it's easy. Same. I also use Google Play, so anytime I add songs to iTunes, it automatically syncs to Google Play.

I use MusicBrainz Picard for my tagging and organisation on my PC. Also Shuttle+ on my phone for mobile playback. I cut the Spotify cord at the start of the year. It spells the end of buying records and/or maintaining a mp3 library for many people.

I just rep folders and play most of my music through a usb stick in my car. Is there an alternative to iTunes or online playlists like spotify? I want a simple program where i can build playlists without dragging them out or copying them across from their file location?

I tunes all the way, my house is entirely Mac based so everything is shared from my phone to my computers to my tvs. I hate that they change the formatting of it every year, but I always adapt and see that it was for the best

Local Content/Library: Plex Media Server with Plex & Kodi clients. Keeps it nice and easy to have the collection at home and away. Streaming service: Spotify.
