Hello friends,
I'm looking for black metal that doesn't sound like it was recorded in a microwave. BM bands I already have are Immortal, Abbath, Abigail Williams, and Deafheaven. Some Burzum is ok even though it does sound like it was recorded in a microwave.
Regards,
Ghosty

I guess you can add A Hill To Die Upon if you can consider them black metal, I know some people don't cause some of their songs tend to be more "death-y" I dunno haha.
you have this:

I recommend you Csejthe, Dawn Ray'd, In Shadows And Dust, Toluca, Winterfylleth, Show Me A Dinosaur (seeing you dig Deafheaven, this band will be your thing)

Weakling, they have a lo-fi sound to them, but it's honestly beautiful.

I'm not a big Black Metal guy, or much of a Metal guy at all, but I've always loved the Panzer Division Marduk LP.

I really like Black Metal but struggle with records with terrible production. I really like Dimmu Borgir and I'm in to Carach Angren at the minute. Really recommend them if you've not listened to them

Any reason you don't like lofi BM??? Anyway, BM is v dope.I'll share some stuff. Anyways, I suggest An Autumn For Crippled Children. Once you get past the name its dope. Synthesizer BM. www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwjq8ImZkIXVAhVBNz4KHZnXARsQyCkIKzAA&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DdzpdreZXd0I&usg=AFQjCNFh6e0BMaJQOVG2pu2XvwaeyAeA3AChaos Moon is some good post BM / Atmo BM Cold World is an OG BM band known for their spacey music. They just put out a stellar new album last year. Dissection. OG Thrash/BM crossover. Ghost Bath is a more recent post BM band known for for insanely high screeching which you may or may not like. A ton of post rock elements too. I'm a big fan! The Great Old Ones. Newer BM. Immortal. OG BM. Straight rippin. Innsmouth is newer Black/Death metal. Dope shit happening here. Krallice is a recent and controversial BM along with Deafheaven. Old heads aren't fans of the post BM labels. That said, Krallice considers themselves as Avant Garde BM. Still cool stuff happening! Lantlos is another of these controversial BM bands where they're considered much more shoegaze and post metal than anything BM. I'll let you decide. I like them a lot anyway. Leviathan put out a dope new album a few years ago now. Classic American BM. Make a Change... Kill Yourself. Awesome BM. Midnight Odyssey. A recent classic for sure. Spacey as fuck. Nechowen made one of the best albums of 2015. American folk BM. This is a must listen. In a similar vein, Panopticon is known for the hillbilly BM. Banjos in metal have never sounded cooler. If you like Bluegrass / folk, this will be your shit. Setherial. Nothing ground breaking but i like the atmosphere made. Wallower is easily the best Deafheaven clone out there. Awesome stuff. Wolves in the Throne Room. Classic American atmo BM. Woods of Desolation. Great atmosphere/post BM Yellow Eyes. One of the best current BM bands around I think. They just put out a new album a few years ago. ██████ uhhh. Its good. just take my word for it lol. As far as everyone else suggestions, I back the fuck out of Weakling. They're one of if not my favorite BM bands to come out of the genre. Tho they are lofi and not sure if this what you are looking for. But def worth a shot. Deathspell Omega is another sick band. They're known for being Avant gardens BM also! Mare Cognitum is awesome. I loved their previous album. Straight up if you want space, thats ur album. Wiegedood is dope too feat. members of Oathbreaker (whose new album is a banger also!) If you want some more BM recs hmu brother. Bandcamp is also an AWESOME place. If you want other blogs to stay up to date with BM, I suggest Frost Domain and Opium Hum. Opium Hum has some really eccentric taste too though if you're looking to broaden your music spectrum. He's an awesome dude and introduced me to so many bands. I also suggest going through the metal and Black metal threads on /mu/. BM is an awesome genre and I'm stoked for anyone looking to take the dive.
