Alright the playoffs are under way! Unfortunately neither of the top-tier games were very close, but the consolation bracket had a couple good ones.
Aqua Mosh and Yo Triplesix will meet this weekend as the winners of their first respective games, and Team Pritchett and Shanghai Pandas go to the losers' match. But as there's still another week after this, the winners (and losers) of those two upcoming games also will play in Week Sixteen to effectively crown a consolation bracket championship. There's no perfect way to do it, but it just maximizes the amount of matches, so have fun!
In our top-tier playoff bracket:
#3 seed Fridge McNukem's jumped out to a big lead and held on comfortably last night to win by more than 50 points over the #6 seed Team Crowe. The two streakiest clubs met and something had to give, as Crowe's winning streak ends at 3 and Fridge has now made it four in a row. No shame in a great run to make the playoffs, Team Crowe!! To the second bracket you go for some more fun matches.
#5 Crazytrain Calamity trounces #4 Two Coopers One Kupp by nearly 80 points in the other match. CC avenges their two losses to TKOC in the regular season and proves the old adage true, that it's very hard to beat a team three times in a year. TKOC collapses at the end of the year and must be the season's biggest disappointment, considering the run they were on in October. This loss gives them four in a row.
However! Team Crowe and Two Coopers One Kupp will meet, two quality squads, in a consolation match this weekend. Chin up!
The semifinals are set, as four teams remain in the hunt for the championship, really without question the best four in the league.
It will be the #1 overall seed Delaware Destroyers hosting the storming #5 Crazytrain Calamity, and the #2 overall seed Bainzy Bainzy hosting #3 Fridge McNukem's!
I'll have some more analysis of the matchups in a day or two. Gotta go do some work!

Alright folks, let's break down our semifinals matches today. Remember of course there IS a game Thursday night, so set your lineups soon, but there is still a lot of time for free agent pickups and the like. It's the best part of the NFL season as well obviously, as there are no more byes so you get your full squad every week.
Game 1 -- #1 Delaware Destroyers (11-2) vs. # Crazytrain Calamity (9-5) Regular season matchup: Week Seven -- Crazytrain Calamity 163.5, Delaware Destroyers 124.8 Current line: Destroyers -12.3 The Delaware Destroyers have only lost twice all year, once to the Shanghai Pandas in Week Eleven and once to Crazytrain Calamity in Week Seven. The Destroyers do NOT like those prime numbers, and that's a good sign as Week Fifteen is divisible by two factors! Phew. To avenge this Week Seven loss -- a week that saw Patrick Mahomes score 10 points total against the Denver defense -- the Destroyers will put out Patrick Mahomes against the Denver defense. Wait, what? That's right, the AFC rivals meet again this week and DD needs to decide if Mahomes or the best backup in fantasy football Russell Wilson should start. Decisions! Regardless, the Destroyers were the highest scoring team in the league so there should be plenty of help. Crazytrain Calamity is no slouch, the second-highest scoring team in the Marsh, fresh off a dominating win last week. They counter with Carson Wentz against the dreadful Washington team, whose defense though is slightly less than dreadful. CC also has several no-doubt-about-it stars in Michael Thomas and Ezekiel Elliott, though Thomas faces an improving Colts defense fighting for the playoffs and Elliott hasn't been the same Zeke as before. Can the Train take down the #1 ranked team who's been riding at the top all year long? We'll see!
Game 2 -- #2 Bainzy Bainzy (9-4) vs. #3 Fridge McNukem's (9-5) Regular season matchup #1: Week Two -- Fridge McNukem's 126.4, Bainzy Bainzy 150.7 Regular season matchup #2: Week Ten -- Fridge McNukem's 144.2, Bainzy Bainzy 158.5 Current line: Fridge McNukem's -0.2(!!) Equally as compelling is the second match of the semifinals, with bitter division rivals ready to clash for the third time this year. Will the result be different this time?? Bainzy Bainzy won the right games all year, including those aforementioned victories in Weeks Two and Ten, to capture the West Division crown. The team is now riding the incredible run of the Baltimore Ravens' sensational star QB Lamar Jackson, averaging 34(!) points per game. Unreal. But is there an injury update for Thursday night's match, listed as "questionable"? Per Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network, "He'll be a go." That Thursday night game against the Jets will go a long way to determining the winner of this matchup, as BB also starts future Hall of Famer Justin Tucker as kicker on a cold night in Baltimore. On the other side, can Fridge McNukem's finally beat his divisional foe as he gets a third crack at it this week? He counters with an equally dynamic quarterback, Deshaun Watson, facing the talented Tennessee defense who continues a playoff push themselves. Of the four teams remaining, both Fridge and Bainz has made comparatively few roster moves. Could this be the week that a surprise free agent pickup disrupts the ridiculous predicted line of -0.2?? Stay tuned!!

The Ravens had another amazing game so Bainzy Bainzy jumps out to a huge 67-point lead in his semifinal game. Damn.
I myself sat Jets WR... who scored 27 points on my bench. Eh. Well, let's see how much i regret it.
Set your lineups today!

Holy shit! As I was hoping, we have two absolutely incredible semifinal matches with just the Monday Night game to go!
At the top of the bracket, Delaware Destroyers lead Crazytrain Calamity by just over 7 points. DD has two players up tonight, and CC has just one. However, that Trains player is none other than fantasy star WR Michael Thomas, capable of a 30-point game any week.
On the other end, at just under 7 points Bainzy Bainzy leads Fridge McNukem's. BB may have the more comfortable lead, though, of the two playoff matches as sensation Alvin Kamara is their only player but surely one worth counting on; the Nukes counter with TE Jck Doyle, who is one of the best in the league.
Stay tuned!!

That's right, as made clear by my posts above, the semifinals did not go in my favor. Alas, a brief recap:
In the bottom bracket, another good game featured Aqua Mosh, but they came out on the losing end this time to Yo Triplesix. On the other half, the ghost Team Pritchett lost again, this time to the Shanghai Pandas. To finish up the three-time round-robin, 666 will visit the Pandas, and the Moshers get to beat up on this year's abandoned team. Best of luck in the final week to determine standings!
The two losers in the first playoff round played a great game this week, with the host team triumphing by 10 points. Two Coopers One Kupp finally ends the losing streak and beats Team Crowe. The two will face off again -- there's no other fair way to do this, I hope you don't mind but you're two good teams! -- in the second half of the two-game home-and-home series, this time with Crowe hosting and 2K1C on the road, to determine 5th and 6th place. Play well!
In the semifinals, Bainzy Bainzy continues their consistently great play and turns a squeaker into a slightly more comfortable win over Fridge McNukem's by nearly 20 points. They once again ride Lamar Jackson and his amazing year, and a rarely-seen three tight end starting lineup paid off for BB with every one of them (Zach Ertz, Mark Andrews, and Darren Walker) earning over 15 points. Brilliant move. Who'd have guessed three players could outscore Alvin Kamara with a "TE" next to their name? Crazy. The NUkes fought hard but fall short, hurt dearly by the 0-point effort from DJ Chark Jr. as he was ruled of his game but not replaced on the roster. Hindsight is 20/20, but if Fridge had played Brees instead of Watson and played Peterson a flex spot over the injured receiver... well, you can complete that sentence.
The other match was an epic back and forth affair, not settled until a fantastic comeback win on Monday Night Football! Our number 1 seed Delaware Destroyers loses for just the third time all year, but the most important of all, to the resurgent and high-scoring #5 Crazytrain Calamity by just a half-dozen points. CC has been an offensive juggernaut this year not because of a single star player but from a lineup which can be likened to Murderer's Row. This week, four players scored over 25 points. DD had a slightly disappointing week though with a respectable total score, but made a fatal error in benching Jamison Crowder. Those all of his WRs played well (from 17 to 20 points), Crowder managed 27 this week. Indeed, his insertion into the lineup over any of those players would have reversed the outcome.
The Delaware Destroyers will host Fridge McNukem's in the true consolation game, that for third place in the league. Two great teams get one more great match this weekend. Set your lineups!
And finally, we have the FINALS of The Daily Mosh Fantasy Football season! The participants are set: #2 seed Bainzy Bainzy will face #5 seed Crazytrain Calamity for all the marbles!
Remember, this year it's just a single-week finale. No Week 17.
Prepare your teams! More analysis tomorrow.

Scrolling back through this thread, I just wanna point out that this is crazytrain116’s second consecutive trip to the big dance; I beat him last year and now he’s back with a vengeance it seems. Hats off to you, man! Something to be said for consistency, eh?
