I liked our system and didn’t really feel a need for changes either. I kinda like the idea of two quarterbacks but only because it gives me reason to watch more footage and get excited. Plus, it’s good for when you’ve got a quarterback like Lamar who one week gets you 4 points and the next gets you 50. A second QB can help balance out your score in that category during big fails. However, we really don’t need to change that.

I am down for a second QB but only if we have a clear majority of members agree. It's a big change and it can be both incredible and very challenging. I have done it in an eight-team league, many years ago, and it leads to an amazing opening month and playoff season, because there are no bye weeks then of course.
But that means that from Weeks Six to Fourteen, you have some wild stuff going on. You have to be extra vigilant on the waiver wire to pick up a good third guy, if you don't already have one on your roster -- I don't plan on expanding rosters, only eliminating a bench spot -- because you might get stuck with, like, Mitch Trubitsky as a starter for that week. Like, that's the breaks, but you just have to know what you'll be in for.
Plus, if you don't pay attention and you have two QBs on your team with the same bye week? Good luck.
Eight teams with three QBs (I am assuming everybody would stash a back-up, or you can be dangerous and try to wing it) means 24 QBs already unavailable... and you know what the remaining eight quarterbacks are like that weren't already taken.
Anyway, just laying out the stakes. It is absolutely super fun when it works well. But you will have utter heartbreak and agonizing choices.

I've done the two-QB and one-QB format in our league both (I think we did the two QB format when I first joined in?) and I do not have a personal preference either way. But yes our system last year was good and I had no issues with it (again and not because I won). I am also going to be serious though, I have been really on the fence about this season, because I am going back to finish up my Masters degree this fall, got a lot more going on with work now, and have a decent amount of other commitments outside of both. Honestly, having a freaking target the size of Alaska on my back does stress me out a bit, because I do take competitive shit like this - even for fun pretty seriously. I understand people want to take me down finally, but I am also being blunt about how this is for me mentally. And this has nothing to do with any hard feelings with anyone or trying to be a cop out. I also know that I am not the only one with a lot of life shit going on, but I have really been reassessing and shifting priorities with where I am from a mental health standpoint this year and I want to be honest with you guys about that.

Very sorry, I was totally just messing around. My humor can come off as harsh and I apologize for that. I need to think more about how dumb jokes can be received, I'm just looking at them from a have-a-laugh standpoint. Absolutely no disrespect or ill-will whatsoever brother!! We all know FFL is for fun primarily, while also being competitive (for fun), and it's also really just a crap shoot as to how our teams do week to week. To me FFL is essential because I'm also inundated with things throughout the week, and FFL is that weekly escape. I was 100% just joking for the sake of a laugh and there's no target on your back at all, please don't feel that way. Again, sorry about that brutha!!

I've done 2 QB's and honestly liked it.
If others are in, so am I. Count me as a vote.

Do what's best for you. You're ultra-competitive here and you always put in the work which deserves respect, irrespective of your championships. We're happy to have you with us of course but not at the expense of your other more important life goals and free time.

My other league is a two QB league so I am fine with keeping this league down to 1. The system we have had in place has been great imo - my vote goes for no change but if there is a change I will be completely okay with that as well. Since this isn't a money league, it's okay to just have fun with it.
As far as the draft goes, I would like to do it in between the last pre-season game and the first game of the year. Anytime before Wednesday Sept. 7th. I will be as flexible as possible to suit everyone else's needs.

I've been burned before by a draft in mid-August and had terrible roster changes from injuries, etc. Any day is okay for me. I'll make it no matter what as long as it's during evening hours. Looks like the "votes" if you will for two-QB league are... NO - aquafina , taoSORTA/DEPENDS/WHATEVER - stringypoo , crazytrain116 , Kuato2084 YES/PROBABLY - v9733xa , bainzy Not very clear. Two One more voter s for those a little less frequently on the boards nowadays, Corvus and tao . Basically I will make the change unless I hear dramatic objections from multiple people. But, you know, it's all in fun.

I'm cool keeping it with a one QB league. Other leagues I'm in have 2 QB's, and I kinda like the simplicity this one brings. ALso crazytrain116 I was only joking with you as well when I mentioned about trying to take you down. Was just trying for a little preseason trash talking all in good faith and fun, and I'm sorry if it rubbed you the wrong way.

No one rubbed me the wrong way just to clear that up. I was just being open about where I stood.
