Well folks, I figured it would be best to get the ball rolling on this now. Last year we had 8 teams I believe, would really love to shoot for 10 this year. So with that being said, whos in?! First. Bring it.

I really don’t know what FFL is or how it works, but as much as I really enjoy the sport, I am at least expressing interest. I just don’t have the capability to follow the game very closely because of my living and work situation. Plus, I’m not sure what it requires from me yet. I should do some research, I suppose.

You'll probably beat me sorry ass just by randomly selecting players with good names! I think it's a good experiment, "Can Andrew Beat Someone in China Who Doesn't Follow Football at All?"

Well, it’s not that I don’t follow it at all, but my following is limited to seeing the YouTube highlights from each game after they’re finished. And I mostly just watched the highlights of the Chiefs, Rams, and Eagles. Those are my three teams that I follow the most. I also want to follow the Vikings but they don’t give me enough to get excited about.

It’s all about players’ individual stats. Those stats translate into points for your team based on how good/bad of a game they have.

Are we able to share same players for our own teams or do we do some kind of draft process for each of our teams? I’m fairly clueless about picking a defense lineup because I’m a Chiefs fan. Lol I mostly like watching teams who bank on a solid offense, also similar to how I used to pick a Pokémon team lineup. Haha

Lol I mostly like watching teams who bank on a solid offense, also similar to how I used to pick a Pokémon team lineup. Haha Typically there is a draft where you take all available offensive players off the board in order of projected points which can vary based on the point structure of the league or an individual's draft strategy. There are leagues that draft defensive players but those are usually the fanatical ones, most leagues have you draft "a defense" so you could draft a really strong defense and just start that defense every week. Alternatively I did really well 3 years ago by dropping my defense every week and picking up whoever was playing the worst offense. Not all players are taken in the draft so as the weeks go on people will drop players into the free agent pool and pick up free agents based on injuries or unexpected under/over performers. And you can trade people to and from other teams based on needs, or a desire to screw someone who doesn't know better. Fantasy football is super easy to get into and there are thousands of strategies and with how much it's blown up "fantasy experts" are making careers now by writing articles and hosting podcasts on strategy and rankings. At the end of the day though, someone can spend 10 hours a week on researching trends and projections and blah blah blah just to get blown out of the water by someone who just started their random lineup of players who aren't on a bye. Give it a go and fumble around with it a little bit, it can be a ton of fun especially in leagues like this where it's all friendly banter and there isn't serious money on the line. I retired from fantasy sports about 2-3 years ago because I found it took the enjoyment I originally had in sports and warped it into something else, and it just stopped being fun for me. That being said it is now a major industry in sporting culture, and it brings a lot of joy to a lot of folks

Yup.
We can talk more, in time, about if anyone wants to change some of the rules for the league, including drafting. I love wild stuff so i'm up for anything, and i know i tweaked a lot but if you're willing to do more, i'm game.
