Remember, today is all waiver wire, meaning that if you attempt to pick up a free agent, there is a waiting period of one day before the transaction will become active. This gives time for other teams to also make moves today if they want, without one team going on and picking up a bunch of guys at once just because you logged in first. Basically it lets you add (and drop) a player, then you're at the back of the line for the next player you wish to pick up. So wager that waiver wire wisely!
EDIT: After trying a waiver wire transaction myself just to see what the UI gives you, i really like what ESPN has done with the system in that it makes it super clear exactly what's happening -- and not happening. When you try to add a free agent, a prompt displays "Select any players to conditionally drop if this claim is successful," telling you basically, "hey, this might not go through, but if so get your roster move ready now." Really good stuff. This interface and website is miles better than it used to be.

Right now I’m feeling the oddest feelings about Fantasy Football, as my real favorite team, the Chiefs, are not a part of my roster. And instead, I find this week making strategic picks against them with Derek Carr and Tyrell Williams for the Raiders game against them. Odd feeling when you’re picking your favorite team’s biggest weakness (dat defense...) and aiming to exploit it. Still hoping the Chiefs can win, but I hope there are plenty points against too! I benched Wentz and picked up Carr for this one. Hahaha, this might be a failed experiment.

That's why i love fantasy football! You have rooting interests all over the place. It makes so many games worth paying attention to. If the Eagles lose, at least i can hope for the guy i have playing against them to rack up some TDs.

Right now I’m feeling the oddest feelings about Fantasy Football, as my real favorite team, the Chiefs, are not a part of my roster. And instead, I find this week making strategic picks against them with Derek Carr and Tyrell Williams for the Raiders game against them. Keep in mind, this is a HUGE rivalry game because both teams absolutely hate each other. I expect the Chiefs D to come in super focused on this one and the Offense to set Oakland on fire. But I’ve gotta be honest, Carr was great last week. Not as high scoring as Wentz, but I think going against our Chiefs he has a chance to do more damage potentially. But the rivalry is worth considering too. For the Chiefs’s sake, I hope they can turn up their defense all year. I’m ready for a Chiefs Super Bowl. I’m sticking to my gut on this strategy of targeting Chiefs this week. |

I consider Josh Allen a riskier move (move I made), but he's a top 10 QB play against a horrible Giants defense this week I'm hoping he comes through. |

Wake up this morning to find out both my starting RB's are questionable. If I make to to the playoffs this year I will consider that a success. Yes, I know its only week 2 but I have seen this all play out before.
