It's ending up really close! I took the complete coward's way out and benched my only remaining player tonight -- the Browns defense -- because of the slightly-greater-than-zero chance that they do what tao 's defense did the other week, and score negative 1.5 or something. So, i win! |

So, i win! That's a really smart move if you already have the win! I believe in 18 years of fantasy football i've now only done this two times. It's just something that comes up extraordinarily rarely, like this exact circumstance and hardly ever again. I used to play a lot more fantasy baseball, and in those leagues it's something way way more common, because most leagues have week-to-week scoring and you obviously have averages (batting and pitching) to consider. So, i guess you could have incredible pitching for the first couple days, rack up a bunch of Ks and wins, and then just sit your remaining pitchers if you have the minimum amount of innings pitched for the week. A smart fantasy baseball player is doing this many times a season. |

Oh, also, ironically the Browns defense killed it and scored 15.5 in their dominating performance against the awful Jets. So, ha, i'd have won by more. Oh well.

Best of luck everybody! I’m having good and bad vibes on my roster at this point. Nothing on it is all that promising to me. Wentz is great, but tends to underwhelm so far, perhaps due to other issues with the Eagles’ offense right now. Austin Ekeler shows as 1st position ranking RB, but the Chargers aren’t really a team to beat, so I don’t expect too much, despite his amazing first week results. Todd Gurley is likeable, but it’s often unlikely he gets the ball much in a game. Injuries across many teams is also a factor many of my players are projecting lower scores, it seems. I don’t expect much at this point, but it’s fun managing the team and trying to pick the best strategic lineup for the big game day.

It's true, a lot of injuries in Week Three so make your lineups carefully. Still time to hit that free agent board, as i have, to pick up a good option maybe for a week or two.

We're running a tight game, aquafina! Also, it's kinda funny that it all comes down to how our Rams do. Lol Wish I wasn't at work, and could follow the game better than I am able to at the moment. The Browns might actually beat the Rams... I've been a bit disappointed in Rams offense lately. |
