I keep hearing news about avatar 2-4 but will they release before or after pandora land opens? A friend has just got me tickets to see the new Tommy Wiseau film with a Q&A/meet and great thing. Proper nervous he will be trying to recreate the accidental magic of the room, but at the same time the guy is some next level crazy so will be an interesting screening at least. this was awhile ago, but how did it turn out?

Got a fucking throat infection the week before, missed that and Cold Hard Truth anniversary show. Still haven't got round to seeing the new Wiseau film, still gotta see the disaster artist aswell, proper building a long old list now

Is anyone here on Criticker? I just signed up today. It's a site that recommends you films based on how other users have rated the films you've rated. So it finds someone with similar taste to you and tells you what films they liked that you haven't seen. The UI is pretty old school but the concept is good and it seems to be the most reliable recommendation site. Too bad you can't just import your ratings from Letterboxd.

Sounds interesting. I invested a lot of time on letterboxd so that would take forever to transfer that to this site. I think there, and this blog too, can make for enough suggestions to me. Just like music, sometimes there are even way too many films i want to see. My DVR is more than 50% full as it is, probably with about 25 movies on there.

For me it's about prioritising. I have so many films I want to watch but it's good to have some help knowing where to start.

Man, there's no way I could rank film out of 100. Anything above five is too much for me tbf.

Honestly I don’t like their rating. I input ten ratings, and anything 90 and below is like “not good” or worse. The rating they give based on your input doesn’t seem fair. I put a 68 down for “Charade”, thinking that I liked the movie but it wasn’t mind blowing, 68 is fair, etc., and it rated it “terrible”. Not what I was intending, and I couldn’t change the rating to more accurately reflect what I thought and felt about it.

Not what I was intending, and I couldn’t change the rating to more accurately reflect what I thought and felt about it. I felt the same but there's an option in your profile to set your own colours and quips for score brackets. Here's mine: 100 - Masterpiece 90 - Brilliant 80 - Very Good 70 - Good 60 - Average 50 - Not Good 40 - Bad 30 - Very Bad 20 - Terrible 10 - The Worst 0 - What The site takes into account that people score films differently based on their own criteria (i.e. I might think of an average film as being a 3/5 whereas you might rate it as a 2/5). To do this, it looks at how your scores for films are distributed across the scale and how many you have in each bracket. Seems pretty clever to me.
