VICE News is a great show on HBO 4 days a week. They put their whole episode online tonight, which is cool. Wow these people are fucking dangerous, the last 3 mins especially. This Cantwell dude going off how no deaths on the white supremacy side are "points" for them makes me fucking sick. And Trumps reaction or non-reaction is what makes me furious, what a cunt of a president.

I heard they are planning a white nationalist rally in Richmond a month after the initial Charlottesville date. I might have to make the drive up to attend this one. It's sad that we have citizens literally wearing swastikas as a badge of honor.

Is this what happens when deathcore doesn't do it for you anymore? You start a cult and start saying that running people over is okay?

VICE News is a great show on HBO 4 days a week. They put their whole episode online tonight, which is cool. this made me viscerally sick to my stomach. I'm pretty sure I was moaning in disagreement as I watched this at work. Honestly the world is a fucking cruel. and I don't know how anybody could see this and not feel disgusted towards this way of thinking. Since I hadn't really seen the full scope of the riots I didn't think Trumps both sides line was that appalling. Even as someone who's balls deep in the left, truthfully there has been some violence by our side at riots, and a lot of liberal protesters make us look quite bad. But in light of this I cant defend his statement. I try to stay pretty moderate in debates to play devils advocate but fuck me man

Fuck me. My manager just saw me typing that out and told me Trump basically recanted his statements blaming both sides

I can't believe this is all really happening. I rarely keep up with current events (it usually sends me into a complete panic) and after I worked all weekend I go on social media and figure out whats going on and it makes me sick to my stomach. What kind of world are we living in?

I like what Eric July of Backwordz has to say about this whole matter:
"Let's run through this, one mo' gin: 200 white dudes marching in town you can't even point to on a map..... has you thinking the world is going to blow up. I made a video about this when this "alt right" phenomenon first popped off. Virtually nobody knew who Richard Spencer was but it was off to the races once they covered him and his clique; mainstream media. Still, he can't get 200 people to come watch him talk in Alabama. But they kept giving him platform and made him more important than he was. And as he grew, the label of who was "alt right" expanded to the point to where it's just used to describe anybody to the right of Hillary Clinton. Rarely can people agree a solid definition.. all they can agree on is that they are bad people. I mentioned all the daily human affairs people engage in on the daily basis. An example: I'm at a show in Newport, KY... in a band full of minorities... and there's no beef. Everybody is cordial and we are having a great time. Yet I'm supposed to believe that isolated events with individuals on the other side of the country... is supposed to represent the general state of affairs. Maybe it does, but it ain't in the way some of you think. It shows how there are so many reactionary groups.. and it shows which narrative people want to desperately to exist. The crimes of the State go virtually unnoticed and unchecked. Over dramatic leftists continue to be overly dramatic (even if it means resorting to violence and destruction of property rights). And NatSocs get it wrong on so many fronts. This shit is a mess. Take just a few seconds to think of all the peaceful interactions you have with others of the other races on the daily basis. Why in the FUCK does that get negated? You're a lousy son of a bitch if you need bogeymen and dragons to slay."

No, it is not every single day in every single person's life, right in front of your face, like someone being lynched or dragged through the streets. But, why wait until it gets to that point before something should be done? Racism is a social construct. Racism exists on MANY levels. Racism is apparent in this country in all of our lives, its just so normal that you might not see the weight it carries. Just because you and your friends can't, or won't see it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. The fact that there are 200 white supremacists marching, without fear of their identity being revealed, is a horrible sign for the events sure to follow. In punk and hardcore, our forefathers literally beat the shit out of nazis at shows until they never came back. RIP Sammy Winston. Don't be ignorant and just brush off people wanting others to literally die because the color of their skin. Be proactive, have open discussions with people about how to make your communities safe and free of hateful extremists. While I agree that these people shouldn't be given a large, free, media platform to voice their cause, It has opened the eyes of millions that this problem is very real. There are 3 alt-right rallys/marches organized in the San Francisco Bay area this weekend, one of the most liberal communities in the nation. Obviously this isn't something to be shrugged off as "no big deal." It's that type of passive attitude that allows neo-nazi scum to grow and prosper. Speak out about what you believe in, stand up for those who need your help.
This is very, very, real. This isn't a dragon or the boogeyman. These are real people trying to harm other real people
