I really want to get into comics but I don't know what I wanna read or where to start. I liked Wolverine as a character in the movies but don't know much about him outside of that. I really wanna read X-Men and Venom related comics but I'm pretty open to all sort of suggestions. I just don't know where a good place to start cause there are so many comics out there. I'm always going to be a bit biased, but I would always recommend picking up something from Image. Marvel and DC have some great comics and lineages out there but they are going to be pretty big commitments if you want to really understand what is going on and have a full picture. Otherwise your best bet in the mainstream industries are probably going to be a graphic novel that encompasses a full story arc where you don't need to know every little nuance to understand what is going on.

Is there any particular series from Image? I’ve never heard of them before The most notable ones are going to be The Walking Dead, Invincible, Spawn, Saga, The Wicked + The Divine, Chew, Rat Queens, Revival, and Sex Criminals. Thing about them is that almost all of their comics start from a fresh starting point, don't have a million crossovers, and are fairly diverse in story content. Sex Criminals is great if you're looking for a good comedic comic, but they're only at about 22 issues as of right now. With The Walking Dead and Invincible coming to a close soon those are probably good bets to pick up if you really want to sink your teeth into like 200+ issues.

My dad showed me the movie when I was like 5 and I used to think he was the shit. I might have to check out the series. I’ll definitel check out Sex Criminals though cause I love a good comedic comic

Don't forget East of West and Carbon Grey. It seems like Carbon Grey is finished for now, and East of West has 7 collected editions at the moment, so it wouldn't be too hard to catch up with it.

You should read the Atomic Robo series from Red5/IDW publishing; it's a hilarious action comedy comic about an atomically powered robot (natch) created by Nikola Tesla that creates a think tank company that investigates scientific oddities. Real scientific ideas/theories/terms, monsters, explosions... you get the idea. A couple other comics that I've enjoyed throughout the years has been Carbon Grey, East of West, Lady Mechanika, The Sixth Gun, and The Stuff of Legend. Manga would include Ikigami, 20th Century Boys, One Punch Man, Lone Wolf and Cub, Gantz and BTOOOM.

Atomic Robo also sounds interesting so I’m gonna give that a shot

I’ve been reading DC’s Metal and Doomsday Clock. Both have been fantastic. Metal has been so over the top and I've been enjoying the hell out of it. You can tell Snyder and Capullo are having a great time producing the series together.

I've been reading Blame! Gotta admit, it is hard to follow the plot (still don't know what it is) but I can't seem to stop reading. Even though the art is also hard to observe, it seems to fit perfectly for the chaotic cyberpunk feel.
