I find the vast majority of default audio players for android quite underwhelming, and always end up turning to a 3rd party player. I have been through most of the popular ones: - Poweramp - Shuttle - doubleTwist - Neutron - PlayerPro - n7player Currently rocking EonPlayer and loving it. Nice simple material interface and fairly good library structure. I'm not too fussed on feature rich players, and use ViPER FX for my audio enhancements anyway. What is the player of your choice? Screens below for anyone interested:

I use Pulsar, changed from GooglePlayMusic cause of the recurring problems I have with it.

Still rocking Google Play Music. 20,000 songs without hosting a single file on my PC is pretty good deal to me. Just download the ones I know i'll listen to a lot or just got and i'm set.

I've been using MortPlayer for years. There's probably something better out there (it hasn't been updated since 2013!) but I'm stuck in my ways. It is a solid player though...

I've been on the shuttle+ beta for a while now but I'm thinking I need a change. The bugs are killing me and getting off the beta and redownloading the app is a pain. I might try some from this thread as opposed to just retreating back to Google Play Music

I was looking into this app because I was curious and it looks like it was actually updated November 2017. I may try it out.

I'm weird, I only put audio books on my Android device. Instead I have an old iphone 4s I use as an ipod, I was going to shoot it years ago but it works great in it's current role.

I've used PI music player and that seems fine. It plays music and randomizes it....what else does it need?
