Swept the Cardinals  It's July and the Braves are still first in the NL East entire National League. Good day! We’re #2, only .007 PCT behind you, and this is saying one HELL of a lot about this team at this point in time. I only hope they can keep this going for the rest of the season! .... and thanks from the bottom of my heart for sweeping the Cardinals. |

I'm not loving this road trip - statistically the worst team we're facing on this stretch of road is the Cards. Yankees then right off into your Brewers has me nervous for these next 7 days of baseball. I'm equally excited, however, to see how we stack against these two really good teams! |

As I’ve alluded to before, I harbor NO illusions about my club, and I’m fully expecting the other shoe to drop after the All Star Game, with our record plummeting as we go into the August/September home stretch. This be interesting waters the Brewers are charting right now....

I'll be trying my damnedest to get out to Suntrust this weekend - we got any Pirates fans in the Marsh?
The weather has been surprisingly mild for late August here in Atlanta and I want to take advantage. We're also ahead 4.5 in the division at a pretty good time, so I'm getting excited for September baseball. Our schedule is tough from here on out so every game is getting exciting, especially considering we play 7 of the last 10 against the Phillies.

I'll be trying my damnedest to get out to Suntrust this weekend - we got any Pirates fans in the Marsh? The weather has been surprisingly mild for late August here in Atlanta and I want to take advantage. We're also ahead 4.5 in the division at a pretty good time, so I'm getting excited for September baseball. Our schedule is tough from here on out so every game is getting exciting, especially considering we play 7 of the last 10 against the Phillies. If the Phillies keep finding ways to lose games like they have been this division race will be over real quick (coming from an actual Phillies fan). Losing to the Nats last night on that base running blunder......for Pete's sake, and their defensive numbers are still atrocious. |

Really pleased with the Braves series against the Diamondbacks! The willpower displayed this series is some of the best all season. Hoping we can carry some of that momentum into the series with the Giants. They swept us at home on a shit-hot streak back in early May, but we definitely look like the better team right now. Philly launches into a series with the Nats at the same time, I'll be watching with a very keen interest.
