I did the same thing this year I do every year. I watched every single Indians game for the first 3 weeks of the season until I get burned out on it and just more or less ignore them for a month, then realize how much I miss baseball and start tuning into 2-3 games a week which is my happy balance that I should have started from the beginning.
Probably will repeat next year, who knows!

Braves are 1-1 in a 4 game series with the Cubs, but last night's win secured us the season series win. I lost some respect for Contreras over his antics in the first game - stinks because he's an amazing player that's fun to watch. We pitch Dallas Keuchel against Yu Darvish tonight coming in off some colder bats than we've had the last few weeks. It's only Keuchel's second start as a Brave and the result could easily come down to whether or not Darvish has an on night or not. Feels like playoff baseball. Really curious to see how the rest of this one pans out before we get back to the moshpit of NL East series coming our way.
Edit: Won and our relief pitching was solid. Puts us 5-1 on the season against them and secures the season series. Also means a split is the worst we can walk away with this particular series at Wriggly. I don't know what to do with my hands now.
Also it's a day game during the work week, which means covert-watch-it-at-my-desk baseball!

Will the Orioles finally win back to back games tonight?

Praise the baseball gods we are back from the All Star Break. The Angels had one heck of a night to honor Skaggs. Braves beat the Padres at Petco Park (where we traditionally suck) and we did it on a day returning from a break (where we also traditionally suck.) Go Braves!

September 29th I will visit Giants vs Dodgers for my first MLB match ever. And the pictures of the Giants stadium got me all hyped!

It's a shame The Giants aren't very good this year because that is one of the best rivalries in all of baseball, plus Oracle Park is my second favorite ballpark in baseball behind only PNC in Pittsburgh. Where are you from? I only ask because in The States we don't really call baseball games "matches" we just say we're going to "the game".

You sir, picked a good one! I am from The Netherlands. First time USA, we arrive saturday and Sunday is the game, deep dive in American culture and i am really happy we didn't arrive a few days later because the season would be over. Alright a few of my personal pointers to baseball games. 1. If they are selling beer in the aisle it's not beer you want to drink, it's typically cheap shit like Bud Light or Coors, crappy American beer. There is good beer at the ballpark (there is great beer all over the country, in the last 10 years America has really improved it's beer), you might just have to walk to find it. Don't be afraid to ask people, Americans are used to making small talk with strangers. 2. HOT DOGS! I never eat hot dogs, I don't much care for them, but there is something about a hot dog at the ballpark that is so special, it may be nostalgia on my part, but if you want to dive into American culture, a dog is a must. 3. You don't need to be a baseball guru to enjoy the game: Baseball seems simple enough but at this level it's a highly nuanced and intricate game and the ballpark will offer a ton of info. You don't need to understand every detail to enjoy it, and if you try to understand everything you'll overwhelm yourself. Talk to your neighbors, if you were sitting next to me I'd explain everything as best I can. *I don't know how much of a baseball person you are but I'm assuming you're not, no offense meant if it was taken. 4. We're terrible at coordinating chants and songs, I know in Europe every football club has a host of songs and many for individual players here in The States we can't manage anything more than about 8 syllables, and the first and last three syllables are usually "here we go". I apologize I wish we were better at this. 5. They stop selling beer in the 7th inning. If the game goes into extra innings they don't turn the beer back on. 6. A lot of times teams offer promotions such as first 10,000 fans get a free shirt or fireworks after the game, check online to see what The Giants might be offering. 7. Remember you are going to "the game" not "the match" Sorry if any of this was weird or condescending I just love baseball and am prone to a good rant, it's a great game. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. Enjoy your first time in The States! What else are you doing?!

My good friends at Sherwin Williams invited us to sit in their suite directly behind home plate tonight, I could get used to this.

I didn't want to trade Bauer, but after seeing the haul we took in for him I'm absolutely loving this trade.
Also gotta love when you trade for a player whole he's in the middle of a brawl...
Shout out to Amir Garrett that was the best baseball fight we've had in a long ass time. Dude just didn't give a fuck and tried to single handedly fight an entire team.

I wish the Illitch family would sell the Tigers. Watching them "rebuild" for the past 4-5 years has been pitiful. However, I love that the players we've traded away for pocket lint have all seen some great success.

Really interested to see if these trades for pitching will inject some life back in the Brewers’ bullpen. They did the right thing in trading Aguilar, no offense and big props to him, but Thames seemed the better choice at 1b.
