Speaking of post rock, I don't think anyone posted Wang Wen yet. Probably China's most well-known post-rock band. They are set to release their 10th album this year, the singles sound p good. wangwen.bandcamp.com/

I follow them on Chinese social media, so I was aware of this new record Still on the fence about this release, although their sound has been evolving over the course of their last three records, I didn't expect that they would go all out on this one

Now that I know they have a new album (and that I pleasantly can't find a .rar or zip of it yet) I honestly don’t want to hear a note until I can order it and listen to a physical copy.

stringypoo , here to reinforce your hope for Chinese metal: Lol I somehow just now saw this, despite the fact you tagged me in it. Chinese Babymetal sounds about right! However, I won’t be a subscriber. Haha! Babymetal did it better. Although, I think the first Babymetal album is the only one I like. I’m just over this style now. But you’re totally right. Some hope restored for Chinese metal in some way. I guess I’m a little afraid the Chinese metal scene will turn into a copy of the Japan metal scene, which I really don’t like that much. I wish China’s metal scene could grow into a western style more.

I love Banger TV. They do the metal community right. Check out this informative video on Chinese folk metal they just released:
