I personally think this is a terrible idea could turn out horribly, but if done right it's very necessary because of how many things they left undone. But it's also not a bad thing to leave a viewer wondering, instead of angry with a shit outcome. It'll be interesting to see how the show works without Hannah in it (Assuming she'd not used in further flashbacks). It's also going to be interesting to see how they tie eps together without another side of the tapes to listen to throughout the hour. Fortunately I think they have a decent ensemble cast with enough characters to keep it interesting but without some of the hook of the first season (What drove her to kill herself?) I just wonder how they'll try and keep it compelling

I hope they'll at least involve the original writer in it.

I started to binge it one night and then I kind of forgot about it. I'm normally into more upbeat shows so I can't stick to it as much. I'll eventually finish it.

I really like watching the show. But I can only do so in parts. It's rough to watch sometimes. I lost my father to suicide.

Season 1 was a good watch. Personally I think a second season has potential, but it really depends where they are heading with the story. If it's just recovery from the suicide it might turn out boring. If Tyler goes crazy it might turn out pretty good.

Just started watching this with my girlfriend, and not entirely sure how I feel about it yet. It's good but I don't know, seems kinda cheesy, and not big on how it seems to glorify suicide in a way.

I don't see how is glorifies... Yeah I don't really get that either. I think this is exactly the reason why they're banning kids from watching this in school/college in England as the message is getting twisted somewhere along the way. The show isn't supposed to be 13 reasons why you should definitely kill yourself, it's supposed to be 13 reasons why I ended up getting so depressed that the only way past it was to end it all and these are the people who led me to this point.

I think it presents it as an effective way to get revenge on people who've wrong you. The kids who are on the tapes have their lives turned upside down and they finally start to realise the consequences of their actions. The message is definitely meant to be "don't be a dick because you'll upset people and they might kill themselves" but there is also this revenge thing going on too.

I guess those who are young watching this might not know the difference either. Wonder if Zack Snyder's daughter watched this after todays news...
