AM1 chili 2003. (pic from google) For me that's it. nothing to change. I can wear it with anything, any colour it goes ok. Any weather too (well, since it's fucking 14 years old i'm not riskying snow or heavy rain). I'v could put up some collab or a rare jordan but for me nothing beats it.  The older air max one shape is beautiful and I'm glad Nike is bringing it back. How is your pair holding up with it's age? |

Glad you asked since i'm wearing it today  Well this one i'm wearing holds up really weel, i'm not the first owner and got it in an 8-8.5/ cond. pretty awesome. The bubble is foggy but holds great even if i'm wearing it 3 days in a row. The upper is in great condition except for 2-3 cracks on the mudguard towars the toebox crease but it's more than common on this pair. The other story is, I love this pair so much I got my hands on a DS pair from japan, a real steal ! But the pair barely held up for half a day, I came hom almost losing a sole (ill post pics if I find them). Saddest day of the year. I'm saving them for an eventual soleswap if i find a good sole someday. But for example i have a pre-hoa OG AM1 from 2005, and even though it's 2 years younger, it really goes badly through time. cracks and separation from evereywhere. |

My manger owns a archive of air maxes and he always expresses his frustration when certain pairs give out on him. |

my words man. i kinda miss the community, it was pretty fun to hunt down all the shoes i wanted...nowadays its just a question of money and i cant afford that anymore bc everything is hype now. still kinda glad that nike is gonna bring back the old shape of the air max 1's tho, so i might cop some again Oh yeah the original shape air max 1s are so nice and the jewel swoosh ones are being made again. not really diggin the jewel swosh tho...id rather go for some mini swosh on the front;) |
