I like to read weird stuff.
Currently trying to get through blavatskys secret doctrine, its 1400 pages of impossibleness to read on the tube for 5 minutes everymorning.
I get through a paragraph and forgot what i read by the next morning.

So if people are going to discuss plot points and spoilers don't be afraid to use that spoiler button.
I'm working on book six of The Wheel of Time series and it's been a fun ride so far, might take a break halfway through the series to not burn myself out on it though.
Before that I read The Dark Tower series, that series started off really really strong for me but the last three books left a sour taste in my mouth.

I have a huge backlog of books but I've most recently read The Jungle, Sharp Objects and Gone Girl, The Strain (working on book 2), Divergent, Slaughterhouse Five, and a few Stephen King books.
The next books up on my list are Dune, The Forever War, Dark Places, some Vonnegut, Carl Sagan's Broca's Brain, and others.
All-time favorite author has to be Stephen King. I love his long books that give stories of many people (under the dome, the stand) but I don't think I've read a single book of his where I liked the ending.

It was technically written by Richard Bachman which was a King pen name, but it was hands down my favorite King book I've ever read.

My favorite one by him has been Desolation. It was the first book of his I read when I was 16 and it creeped me the fuck out, something that none of his other books have really done. Also I love the fact that he wrote The Regulators under a pseudonym which acts as sort of a sister novel.

I've been working my way through the NY Times top 10 from last year (https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2016/books/review/best-books.html) , The Vegetarian and Association of Small Bombs were great reads but In the Darkroom slowed me down. Starting on War and Turpentine

Merged the two threads, enjoy! Thanks Zeke for the shoutout. Damn Daniel, I wasn't even aware merging was possible. I'm gonna go make a bunch of different threads about books that will one-by-one slowly tell the story of a man I murdered, and if Nicky or Matt don't merge the threads correctly we'll never know the whereabouts of Michael Jackson's real bod- I mean, our John Doe's real body.

Just started 'Ready Player One'. So far the concept is really really interesting, but I'm not loving how this guy writes. I like the story enough to adjust, but so far he's very information dumpy, I'd rather you layer history into the story.
