Synopsis: Jong-su bumps into a girl who used to live in the same neighborhood as him, who asks him to look after her cat while on a trip to Africa. When back, she introduces Ben, a mysterious guy she met there, who confesses his secret hobby.
It's time for the third entry in the Marsh Film Club. This one was selected by Baker.
I've set a viewing deadline of 20 May, so make sure you watch it before then and please don't post any thoughts/spoilers until after that date.
Feel free to use this thread to talk generally in the meantime - let us know if you're taking part, any difficulties tracking down the film, or just to say you've watched it.
Baker: It would be cool if you could think of some discussion points for us and post them before the deadline.
Further viewing/reading
For those who want to go the extra mile, why not read the Haruki Murakami short story on which the film was based? "Barn Burning"can be found in his short story collection The Elephant Vanishes (1993).
If you enjoyed Burning, feel free to watch some of the director's other works: - Green Fish (1997) - Peppermint Candy (1999) - Oasis (2002) - Secret Sunshine (2007) - Poetry (2010)
You can post your thoughts on any of these alongside the usual discussion of the film.

Looking forward to seeing this again. Easily one of my favourites of the year and really cool seeing Glen from TWD speaking Korean.
Want to see some of the directors other films. Think ive seen Green Fish, oasis, and Peppermint Candy before. Gonna try and buy Poetry alongside watching this one.
This thing is on Amazon to rent for 99 cents! Hopefully others who are in the U.S., even those just casually interested, can watch this masterpiece. Checking it out again tonight.
