Mine is 7 months now, not crawling yet but certainly taking an interest in things a lot more. His latest obsession is the TV remote, never seems out to be out of his mouth whenever he sets his targets on it. He's also sleeping a hell of a lot better now and is eating solid food without any issues. I made a total parenting fail yesterday but preparing some food for me and my wife, then going over to him to help him eat some rice, completely forgetting I'd just been chopping chillies which sent him into meltdown once the taste touched his lips. Be warned people, it's not ideal! Loved being in isolation with him though, getting to see him at length daily is a joy. the chili incident probably felt bad, but hey, that can happen and no one really got hurt. Here's something funny about the same thing to cheer you up:

My 2 year old daughter was just banging her head to the new Ghost Inside song. My heart is full

My son will be 11 months in 3 days. My wife just sent me a video of him pulling himself up to standing while holding onto the crib railing, and standing and whining. Haha, of course I'm missing this scene by being in Kunshan for the work week, but the video is nice. I hope to see that this weekend when I'm home. Pretty crazy to imagine he's already pulling himself up to stand with support from the crib.

This lockdown situation has really sent my son backwards with being social. Every time he sees one of our friends now he cries. Hopefully the readjustment won't take too long once we get back to "normal"

This lockdown situation has really sent my son backwards with being social. Every time he sees one of our friends now he cries. Hopefully the readjustment won't take too long once we get back to "normal" If my son is anything to go by, I’d say you’ve got nothing to worry about. Some weekends I come home and he seems to not want me to around, and other weekends we gel like Seabond and dentures. Lol wow I can’t believe I wrote that. But yeah, during these days my boy has been less consistent seeing outside visitors. For a while when we did have friends and family over he would just freak out a lot. Now he’s mostly really comfortable.

My boy Ethan is 15 months old since two days ago. He’s starting to walk with a lot of confidence and I haven’t seen him lose his balance these past two days at all. He also seems to prefer walking on his own than being picked up and carried. In some ways it is nice but it also feels like he needs me less, which I have mixed feelings about. I think if I was home more than 2 days a week, it would feel different, but I don’t know... I guess I just feel he’s growing up too fast. He doesn’t really talk yet but he’s very vocal. Many people said that babies growing in multilingual homes tend to speak later than those of one language families. My son is growing up with English from me, Mandarin from me and my wife, and Shanghainese from my wife and her parents. So he might be a little confused. lol! Then again, when we say any object in any language, he will point to it. He seems smart!
