I want it, but am in no rush to get it. Nothing coming out for it intrigues me enough to get it ASAP.

The design of the console itself still baffles me, it is so bulky and outdated. In the end, it doesn't really matter because the performance greatly outweighs its physical flaws. Kind of wish they would release new colors of the controllers already though, really want to get a second controller but don't want to buy two white ones. Q4T I don't understand how they went with this after having 3 back to back consoles generations with clean lines and minimalistic design. It reminds me of something you'd use for a product in alpha. Maybe I'll like it more IRL (once I get one years down the line). I don't play any video games and barely even knew this console was coming out, but one of my favorite YouTube channels made a cool video about exactly why the thing is shaped and sized the way it is:

essien I picked up Valhalla for that same exact reason. Getting Bugsnax with PS Plus was a steal and I'm super excited to see what they announce next month as their PS5 game. Getting hands on with the console has been a fortunate reality. I know so many people trying to secure orders and hoping to get one for the holidays. The only "next generation" game I've played so far is Astro's Playroom. Which was a wonderful game to play and easy Platinum to get. From start to finish that game makes me fall in love with the Dualsense controller. I think it may be my favorite controller now. Otherwise, I've been using it heavily for the backward compatibility and trying to finish Ghost of Tsushima. The design of the console itself still baffles me, it is so bulky and outdated. I really enjoyed Astro's Playroom too - agree with your comments on the DualSense and it also made me super nostalgic about the PlayStation brand. I've owned all the consoles with the exception of the handhelds, and it really put it into context how much time I've spent on these machines over the past two decades. I'll be binging Valhalla and Bugsnax this weekend, hoping to get them both done in time for the Cyberpunk launch

I'll be binging Valhalla and Bugsnax this weekend, hoping to get them both done in time for the Cyberpunk launch I'm 40 hours in playing Valhalla and I still need to start the first mission in England since I've been exploring and gathering RSS for my settlement and new gear. Also if you put Guaranteed Assassinations on in your settings it will be more like the early AC games and if you jump on an enemy and attack it will assassinate the guy (even when the R1 (PS4/5) button doesn't appear to assasinate the guy) in stead of hitting him with your other main weapon you have and alerting the others instantly. It gives Eivor more stealth and you have a better chance of surviving if you are in a higher level area. I've collected every chest/mysterie/artifact there is which I could collect (some of them are story locked and it annoys me that it doesn't show on the map). I was looking for a secret entrance for a piece of gear for over an hour and then I just gave up and looked it up online to enter and it told me that you can enter the place after a story mission.

I've been pretty focused on the story and was amazed how quickly it moves you on to England. I could set sail now but planning to explore Norway a little more first and get my rank up. It's my first Assassin's Creed game since the first one so I'm a total noob but I will definitely check that setting, thanks for the tip!

I've just finished exploring what I can and leveling up and currently doing main quests to get the story going. Level 100 right now. The zealot fights are hard but fun.

I've been putting off beating miles Morales cause I don't want it to end lol. Got 65 hours in Ghost of Tsushima though, runs like a dream on PS5. Almost done, phenomenal game. Thrilled I saved the second half for playing it on PS5.

Thrilled I saved the second half for playing it on PS5. I did the same exact thing! I was probably like 50% through the game on PS4 and the PS5 was just around the corner. The 60 fps framerate makes the combat in that game excellent. Ghost of Tsushima became my game of the year after playing it on the PS5 and finsihing it. What a fucking mastepiece. I got the Ultimate Edition of Miles Morales so I played the Spider-Man Remaster beforehand as a warmup. That ended up giving me a ton of playability and now I've put Miles Morales on the side so I can savour it. I totally understand that feeling of just not wanting a game to end, especially one as compact as Miles Morales. My PS5 has easily become my best purchase in the last year. I'm playing it all the time. The backwards compatibility with PS4 means I almost never have to worry about my gigantic backlog. On top of that, more and more games are getting PS5 verisions or upgrades. There still isn't a lot of reason to invest, but for me, it has been well worth the money just to have a higher resolution and FPS.

And did you see the PS+ offerings for next month???? Control PS5, destruction all stars (new PS5 IP), and concrete genie, Insane. I was in the middle of act 2 when I made the switch to PS5, and it was a striking difference from the Base PS4 version. I'm probably gonna platinum it cause I've been obsessively doing EVERYTHING. Def became my GOTY after playing it on PS5 too.

I told my closest friends about it with the enthusiasm of a child on Christmas morning, but the point seemed lost on them. With Control being added to PS Plus it really does sent the bar for what PlayStation can offer. I would compare it to what Xbox has been doing with Game Pass. Both being very good deals for the consumer.

How's the stability on the PS5 so far? I've been questioning whether it's worth hopping into right now, or if I should just wait for more IP and a potential slim model 🤔

How's the stability on the PS5 so far? I've been questioning whether it's worth hopping into right now, or if I should just wait for more IP and a potential slim model 🤔 Mine has been perfectly stable and I’ve probably put a couple of hundred hours into it. I’ve been avoiding using rest mode though as I saw some people reporting problems with it on Reddit. As for whether it’s worth hopping on right now, I don’t know if it is. There’s not many PS5 exclusives right now and a lot of games that are coming out are cross gen, so the differences are mostly with higher resolutions and frame rates. That said, it’s a great console and I don’t have any regrets with getting on board early.

Has anyone been playing Destruction Allstars? I found it really fun at first but after playing a few more hours yesterday and getting my first W it started to get a bit tired. They’ve said there’s loads of free content coming out for it but I can’t see that it’ll suddenly give it more longevity. The gameplay is just a bit simplistic. I’m glad it was free, I think if I’d paid $$$ I’d be disappointed.

How's the stability on the PS5 so far? I've been questioning whether it's worth hopping into right now, or if I should just wait for more IP and a potential slim model 🤔 I think this question has two parts to it. The actual "need" to get a PS5 vs. if it is worthwhile to get one. Do you need a PS5? No, with the lack of exclusives you would be fine to hold onto your PS4 for another year or more. Games are going to be really slow with development being impacted by the pandemic. I wouldn't anticipate anything crazy for the PS5 for at least another year. Is the PS5 worthwhile as an upgrade? Yes, I've probably put more hours in the first few months on my PS5 then I did on the PS4 in my first year of owning it. While the exclusives aren't there, everyhting runs so much better on it. The SSD alone makes a world of a difference. Whenever I boot up my PS4 Pro or Xbox One X it seems to take forever. This may be compounded on my computer not really being up to snuff on a current gen experience. If you have a good gaming PC already, then the worthwhileness of the PS5 might be diminished. I haven't played it yet, it looks like a fun game to have for free. My biggest issue is it being a PS5 exclusive as the amount of people I play multiplayer with on a PS5 is so slim. I usually play the most with crossplay titles or titles that are on the PC. I really hope they end up releasing it to a wider auidnece soon and have crossplay implemented, otherwise I don't think it'll have the legs to keep an active playerbase.
