So I finished this last night. Probably the most depressing 7 hours of my life. Anyone else seen it? I want to get theorising. Finished it last night. Kinda bummed about the end but still kinda expected it. So shoot with all them theories!

He was there, he was part of it, but he won't say shit out of fear? Just watching his body language whilst being questioned says it all.
I'm guessing there was a gang of people involved in the actual murder.
It's a shame this Brother Bob character didn't have a face to match the name.
Was her partner at the time of her murder part of it? I'm not too convinced he was despite his calm-as-hell exterior

Was her partner at the time of her murder part of it? I'm not too convinced he was despite his calm-as-hell exterior Fuuuuck yeah, he is definitely lying. Well through the whole process of interviewing him I felt he wasn't quite there anymore, you know like mentally. So either he was full blown lying to them or over the course of all these years, made himself believe that he really had nothing to do with it. But I'm convinced that he at least took part in disposing her body. Yeah I had hope, that somehow through the length of the last episode Jane Doe might cut through the fog of her memory and would see his face, or that his face would match up with some of the other man involved.
Hm that is probably the biggest thing bugging me about the whole story. At first when they were checking him out, I thought it was really really disrespectful but then suddenly as they dropped this love letter of hers and speculating if she was pregnant I was like "what?" But at this point I feel like that the guys doing the documentary had a problem to keep all the narrative strings together because they were just throwing a lot of theories out there and as far as I remember never really questioned her lover about the whole letter and the sudden change in their relationship. Because if I remember it right, the first time he came into play, his story was all "we loved each other dearly but decided it would be best to stay as a priest/nun" and then suddenly at the end she was talking about having babies with him? That seemed fishy and the producers definitely missed the opportunity to question him about it.

Not sure what to make of him.
Like you said it's frustrating that they're still none the wiser. You'd hope this story reaching billions of people on Netflix might help their case on Facebook although with everyone important as part of the story now dead, it's pretty unlikely they'll ever get anything resolved. What's sadder is the last couple of eps and those victims of underage abuse who still are being victimised about it all for not speaking up sooner. So sad.

Ooooh yeah, totally forgot about that, that was fuckin weird. He definitely got something cooking.
It feels a bit like the "Making A Murderer" Documentary in that, that they made it a show and indicating that there might be another season or more. In the case of MaM it would make sense, but like you said all the important ppl of this case have passed away or are likely to pass away real soon so I definitely don't see this show getting another season. And its always the same with these stories about abuse that are related to the catholic church, they will be sweeped under the rug and likely never come out and especially in this case, where the cops also seem to be involved deeply.

Yeah I can't see them doing another season. It's supposed to be a mini-series but I've heard that before and shows have still been extended so who knows.
Funny that the murder of the 2nd girl didn't really play much of a part in the series until the final episode as well. She must have been connected somehow...

Yeah you are right, totally forgot about the second girl. You know now after, thinking about it and discussing it, that show was quite underwhelming.
In retrospective it feels like they never really could string all these different approaches together to form a thrilling narrative. At times it just felt like they lost the guiding thread.

Haha I know what you mean but the story is still a captivating one. It's not as drawn out as MaM was as well It must be difficult to set the stage for a case when there are no concrete answers
