I hate how much I enjoy New World hahaha. The gameplay is so simple, and repetitive however I cannot stop playing. Mainly enjoyed it since it helped through my depression. It's so fun to hop in, listen to music, and then do whatever the fuck you want. I feel like Amazon will probably do more damage than what's already been done, but fuck it.

So I've got a backlog of games I bought back in 2018 before moving to China that I thought I might try to get back to once I've finished Persona 5 again. I've hit the 100 hour mark on P5 recently, so I know it's close to over, maybe 20 more hours. I've done it once before, after all.
Which game would you guys recommend getting into next the most? Nier Automata or Yakuza 5. I've never played either.
I was going to buy and play Shin Megami Tensei V on Switch, as I had been waiting for it for a long time, but when I saw the reveal and reviews and began to acknowledge that this game just isn't as deep in character development as the Persona series, I lost a bit of interest. What draws me into the Persona games the most is the characters and their stories and developments, as by the end of the game they're like real people that I feel I know, and I just really want to know more about what happens to them next by the end. A game like Shin Megami Tensei is more likely to leave me feeling glad I finished it and without much emotional attachment, based on what I saw.

Can they just freaking put Persona 4 Golden on Switch already so I don't have to buy a second PS Vita and copy of the game to play it again!? Ugh! I'm so annoyed. The game got so much attention and re-release action, and now it's not playable on a modern console. Wishing my new MacBook Pro was a Windows laptop for the time being. At least there's emulators on Windows...haha

I just finished my 3rd playthrough of Persona 5! It was only about two months ago when I finished it my second time, and the first time back in 2018. It’s one of those games that I dread getting to the end of because it’s just so good that I don’t know what to do when it’s over.
Don’t know if this is a shared feeling about various games to anyone, but this is an example of a game that I wish never had to reach an ending. It’s already a massive story, but no matter its great length, I find every moment of it so delightful. Easily in my top 10 games of all time. I really hope the Persona 4 re-release to Switch rumor turns out true. That game is equally incredible, if not even better than 5 in some ways. It has more heart than 5, in my opinion.
Glad I’m gonna be away from my games for a couple of weeks after today because I’m going to need some time and space between this and my next big game (Shin Megami Tensei V) which I’ve never played before.

My steam account got locked due to someone trying to "steal/hijack" it. So fucking weird, and I've done everything I can with Steam support so far. I really hope I don't lose my account over this bullshit, I'll be very upset

He forwarded it to an admin and we finally got it under control.

I'm at that last fight on Chrono Trigger. Actually lost to it just a moment ago and was kinda frustrated and put it down. But I'm getting ready to try again. Leveled pretty well, just didn't realize what the best strategies might be, since there are 3 targets on the last stage of the fight and it was a little tricky.
Now I'm examining the world of emulation for what I'm gonna play next! I'm thinking to stick with RPGs because that's ultimately my favorite style of game. Being a mega fan of Persona 4 and 5, it might be nice to try out the PS1 Persona games. I haven't tested out my new PS2 emulator yet, but if it works, I'd rather play Persona 3 next. However, since I'm moving soon, I'm also afraid to start a big game. Ugh...the choices...
Edit: I just finished Chrono Trigger. The ending was better than I was expecting. I know there are multiple endings, but yeah, I got a good one, suitable for the completionism that I am. But wow...tough act to follow. I don't really want to play something mediocre after this hahaha! Or maybe I should play something totally different, like a fighting game, something that I can invest less in and expect less attachment. Might be time to go replay Tekken 3!

So I really caught the tactical RPG bug. I’ve never played one before and suddenly am just so damn curious to try one. And I know Final Fantasy Tactics is the classic choice, but it requires me to play on my laptop so I can emulate it (no way do I want to play the iOS version!).
So now I’m looking at newer releases and looking especially at games out on the Switch so I can hopefully find time to play sometimes now that I’m about to be a bit busier. Looking at: The Banner Saga Disgaea 5 Complete Fire Emblem Three Houses Triangle Strategy
My gut is telling me I’ll have the best start with Triangle Strategy but man, $60 is a commitment when you’re not sure tactical RPGs are your thing or not. I’m gonna think about it a bit more but I’m strongly considering it. Banner Saga looks awesome but to fully experience all 3 chapters (or titles) it’s more costly in the end. Fire Emblem looked amazing but it’s a huge download that will take forever for me in China to finally get downloaded. And Disgaea might be too silly for me. I want a good story, not exactly looking for a silly story though.

I'm frustrated now with the release of Octopath 2 (no idea how I even found out about it with how busy my life is, as I never can keep up with gaming anymore) because I've got the fever for it but absolutely no time to play it. I just want to hurry up and buy it so I can have it and play it eventually, but that chance to play it won't come for months, if not longer... Ugh! I love being a dad and having a good job, but I wish I had a chance for building time for this into my day.
