I’ll also add Knocked Loose. Nothing that hasn’t been done before.

I know they aren't met with critical acclaim or anything but stray from the path since rising sun. Their message is commendable but the lyrics are so cringey

I'm gonna say knocked loose and code orange. I'd like to say turnstile. I respect that they do their own thing I just can't get into it. Can we met up for a fight somewhere ? haha

In my opinion I think brand new and joyce manor. What about you guys? I'm gonna argue this. I agree with brand new. but Joyce Manor's first album is pretty fuckin good. I feel like it chips away a sliver of my humanity every time I hear it

I feel like it chips away a sliver of my humanity every time I hear it Brand New is one of the more long-established ones that I scratch my head at. They’ve never even been the same band from one album to the next which seems cool on its face til you realize it’s all disjointed and way too fluid. And tbh, Joyce is probably my favorite band at the moment. I’ve loved everything they’ve done up to this point.

Knocked Loose is like pretty not great hardcore but i think they have their own sound and it's violent enough to get my anger. They're good in their category imho.

Saw Thy Art Is Murder last saturday...
Never been too fond of the band, specially with all the crap i hear about CJ.
So yeah i go to the venue, chat a bit with some friends playing in other bands. Another "CJ is a total douche" rant. Later i notice 1 guy out of 2 wears a TAIM cap. I must have been living in a cave. Ok so they are closing, 2 mins before the show i her ppl screaming "CJ CJ CJ CJ" at front rows. I'm like "is this guy james hetfield or what ? never heard this kind of scanding even for mitch lucker or idk"
Music starts. everything is very average. Nothing too brutal, cool, fast, inventive. Feels very 2008. Vocals are somewhat "common". Left after 3 songs, people get way too excited over vocalists that can hold growls for a whole song these days.

I’ll also add Knocked Loose. Nothing that hasn’t been done before. I thought the same thing and then found out that the replay value is enormous. So I really started to like them.

Why are people going nuts over My Ticket Home and their new record? I thought that band was just generic clean metalcore?
