The Barry Seal story is finally making its way to the bring screen starring Tom Cruise. I have been a huge fan of this story for years and cannot wait for this to come out.

I am so worried about this film. They're not following the books, which isn't inherently bad (due to spoilers I ain't sharin', but you'd know if you read until the end about the possibility of continuation). Steven King backed it though, so I'm a little less nervous. What if it succeeds? They could go back the original story (which I personally think would be better formatted as a Game Of Thrones sized TV show). Or they could make more movies in this universe and drift farther from the original story. If it fails, they might give up on movie/TV adaptations of this series forever? Seriously my favorite thing I've ever read. Please don't fuck this up.

Otherwise you will be SO confused.

It's kind of a Polarizing series, I myself didn't care for it particularly the final three books. However I know a lot of people who chalk it up to the best thing they've ever read. I'm actually excited about the movie nonetheless Idris Elba is an amazing actor, and I'm actually okay with some of the changes. As was previously mentioned though, don't start it unless you mean to finish it before you watch it.
