I'm telling you, Dakota Johnson is a GOOD actress in the right movies. She was really interesting in Guadagnino's other film she starred in, A Bigger Splash. I see her career hopefully as i see Robert Pattinson's... almost ruined by a terrible series that defines her for years, and hopefully good enough to find her voice in cooler roles as she moves forward. I'm more than willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. Can't blame someone for accepting a role that's going to set them up financially for life. Mmhm, good point, but to be fair we are taking about the daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson, so, you know, she was probably gonna be okay.

This could be a lot of fun. I love the Halloween franchise but I thought the Rob Zombie films were pretty weak and got the tone all wrong. This seems to have much more potential.

I was actually part of a screener for one of the first uncut versions of Halloween and IT WOULD NEVED END. I swear it was one of the longest horror films I have ever seen if not the longest. This though, I am excited about.

This though, I am excited about. I thought his first one was passable, it just didn't feel like a Halloween movie. But Zombie has such a unique style, he was always going to leave his own stamp on it. The second one however was utter dog shit. Planning on doing a rewatch of the film series before this comes out. Useful reminder of the timelines in case anyone plans on doing the same:

Sooooo.... the Earth is dying because of us, and the Kaiju is the environmental “reset” button? Lame. But it’s a Godzilla film and story was never a priority as the series progressed. I’m excited, where do I sign up? ? ? ?

Latest Gaspar Noe effort. I've seen Irreversible and Enter the Void which were both excellent in my view, really pushing the boundaries. Should probably check out the rest of his works.
