There is a place in Berlin, Germany. I don't know what music they play, but I know that there are hardcore shows every now and then. The most fun thing is, that Benchpress played a show there in 2015. I wasn't there because I've seen them on two other shows that month. Look at their logo! www.berlinstrength.de/

I have thought about this a lot. There are a few potential problems though. Gyms are not the best business to get into because there is not a lot of profit. The memberships don't always make up for the loan payments towards equipment and space. It is too easy to fall behind payments and when you do have profit it is not much. The revenue from shows could help but not everyone is into heavy music meaning the gym's effective hours would end around 6pm (when the shows start), also when most people go to the gym. I wouldn't consider it a good idea unless you have a lot of money upfront and live in a populated area that has a large metal following.

On that Enemy Mind/Fallbrawl tour they played in a gym, but I guess it wasn't even in Germany, more in Eastern Europe.
