Anyone else in the Bond Franchise? I really really like basically all Bond movies with some exceptions. Top 3 Bond movies for me:
1. Goldfinger 2. Casino Royal 3. From Russia with love

I've only seen the ones with Dan Craig, except for the latest.

Love James Bond.
Daniel Craig was rubbish as bond.
Pierce Brosnan was great, same with roger and sean and timothy but lazenby wasnt my jam when i was a young kid.
Tbh there isn't an exceptions, all of the bond films are actually good. Moonraker was great, Goldfinger, Live and Let Die, The World is Not Enough, A View To A Kill, Dr No, The Man With The Golden Gun, Octopussy. etcetc

Oh man I love the James Bond films, even went to a James Bond exhibition.
From Russia With Love and Goldfinger are definitely up there.
Maybe unpopular opinion but Daniel Craig has become one of my favorites.

The love/hate for Daniel Craig is all over the place ahaha. Personally, I think he rules as bond. I was excited about those rumors of Idris Elba but those got shot down pretty quick. Also, after watching the Night Manager, I think Tom Hiddleston would make a good Bond.
Dissapointed in Spectre but the rest of the Daniel Craig ones were awesome.

I personally would want Idris Elba, but realistically I do not think the world is ready for that type of change.
Keep hearing rumors that Tom Hardy is a candidate... He is one of my favorite actors but I cannot see him being James Bond haha. Who knows, it could work out. What I am stoked to hear is that Christopher Nolan is rumored to direct the film.
PS. Just realized I never seen Spectre haha.

I'm totally behind Idris Elba being a future Bond, as well as Tom Hardy. My top 3 would have to be:
1) - Skyfall 2) - On Her Majesty's Secret Service 3) - (tie) - Goldfinger, You Only Live Twice, From Russia With Love
I enjoyed the heck out of Skyfall because of how they humanized Bond. As much as we all enjoy Bond for essentially being the embodiment of all the fantasies we concoct and connect to the world of espionage, this one essentially gave a peek behind the mask, so to speak and painted a more human picture of the superspy, leaving in all the cracks and flaws, and for that, I applaud the filmmakers.
The same mindset could be applied to my second pick, as he actually was willing and ready to give up his career for the one girl he could truly love, only to have all that potential taken away from him in the film's closing moments.
And for my tie at the third pick, I got two words for ya: Sean. Connery. <drops mic and walks away.>

Nice thread. I've spent the past 8 years trying to work my way through the Bond franchise, still haven't managed it (Yet to see Licence to Kill but I've done the rest). One thing I will say is that watching them together is hard work, they're all very formulaic.
Favs include: Goldfinger, Live and Let Die, Goldeneye and Casino Royale.
Roger Moore is my least favourite Bond, just because he's campy, fucking creepy (How old is he compared to the girls he's shagging?!?), and he's too old to do any of the action sequences about 3 films in but still managed to make 4 more.
Best Bond is probably either Connery or Brosnan.
Also, Moonraker is a travesty.

Idk, I didn't hate Moonraker! It's out there, but still a foreseeable next step for Moore's Bond, especially after Star Wars coming out. Like, eventually Bond was gonna go to space, we all knew that. The fact that it happened at this stage in the franchise was unfortunate, but I thought it could've been worse!
