I'm a native French speaker but I do understand Spanish and I can speak it a little. As for my English, I hope it's not that bad because my job is to teach it aha. I can recommend Duolinguo and memrise, good free apps. Also, if you want to rely on music, films and videogames, forget about the subtitles in your own language or it'll be no use. The best way is to speak, travel of course, and to listen ( radio, audiobooks... ) The internet is full of good resources and you can get a good level at a language just studying on your own. If some of you are interested in practising French, I'd be glad to open a French-speaking thread

I speak English and bad English, although I used to play WoW with a couple guys from The Philippines so I know how to say some truly awful and offensive things in Tagalog.

Spanish was my first language, years later English has become my primary language. Now, I am not too good in Spanish but I can still talk, read and listen in Spanish.

English born and raised. Risen with a bit of French around me, can understand a bit of it, have a hard time speaking it. Recently started dating a Swedish girl and thanks to Duolingo, I can speak it VERY slightly. So, hopefully that will end up being another language I know.

Tagalog was my first language (Filipino) but learned English when we moved to Sydney... I was only 1 years old. Can also speak a lick of Spanish and all typical cuss words of the other languages that my friends can speak haha (Hindu, Fijian, Chinese, Vietnamese).

Well besides my native tongue german, I do speak english and spanish (B2 level) bits and pieces of french and some words in danish and latvian. Learned most of my english trough school, lyrics and old-school MTV reality shows lol. All of my spanish "expertise" are from my studies which are 50% spanish and involved a semester abroad. Danish just because I live at the border and I have to "thank" my ex-gf for the latvian as she studys in Riga and I've been there dozens of times.

Native Dutch speaker, learnt French (mediocre to good level) through secondary school, high school and work, understand a bit of German (can't speak tho) also through high school, trying to train a high level in English by traveling, reading and overall doing a lot in English and also picked up a little bit of Spanish (basic level) through high school.

Born and raised with spanish as my first language, never exposed to english (just the basic english a school can teach to children) and started practicing online in forums, learned a lot thanks to music.

Forgot to add this, but if I find the time I'd love to learn a basic level of an Asian and African language.
