For some reason, I had it in my head that you, like me, had never attended a rock/metal/whatever show before. I just don’t go because I don’t like really loud sounds blasting at me, and metal crowds seem dangerous sometimes. Not looking to get hurt at a show. Just want to see the music.
In some way I guess I have gone to a show, but not sure it counts. I played with Trans Siberian Orchestra for 6 shows a few years ago. Back then, I didn’t know those guys were the remnants of a well established metal band called Savatage, but oh well. They were cool dudes and legit talents.

I just went to my first concert/show since May of 2019.
Took the old man to Trans-Siberian Orchestra for Christmas and had an absolute blast. I wasn't huge on their music going into this but the live show is something that just has to be experienced. Would definitely consider going again in the future.
