I will be picking it up day one. I'll also have space open for raid group members seeing as other people I know (traitors) have jumped ship to PS4. Need 3 people for a raid group every week on Xbox One. Way too excited for this game to come out and I really hope they add something new to the formula. How amazing would it be if we got to fly our ships?!

I wanna jump into it, but never got to play the first because I didn't have an Xbox One/PS4 for the longest time, just my PC. Since then I got a PS4 and this ones coming out for PC, so I'm thinking I might try to get into it. Is there a complicated story or anything that I'd have to get into before playing it though?

The lore is there but the story is fairly thin. If you want to delve into it you can but it isn't necessary to understand what is going on. They seem to be trying to tell a general story with each expansion and story beat that can stand alone but if you want to read all the grimore cards you can see how each story is tied together. I think they'll try their best to make Destiny 2 as newcomer friendly as possible seeing as the original title definitely a disappointment to most people in the gaming industry.

1k+ hours on the first one, this is a day one purchase for me. Managed to preorder the Collectors Edition since I just recently received a raise and had something left over after bills. I raid with a couple of 40 year old welsh dudes who all have kids and I love those guys but nearly all my raid completions are with randoms off LFG. They're a laugh to play with and hell one of em' even invited me to his wedding, but aside from time differences and just the casual approach to everything I'd like to find some cool people to raid with in D2 from here.

That article seems to discuss how they opened it up for Windows 10 and Xbox One specifically and then it talks about the possibility of it being available to PS4. The thing is, PS4 likely won't ever allow it on their end and with a game like Destiny 2 it likely won't be possible. With PS4 getting exclusives again in the form of weapons and gear then it won't be compatible. |

Played my first ever hour of the first Destiny yesterday. Honestly I thought it was a bit overwhelming, felt like I was thrown into something gigantic without much explanation. Liked it though but I juste feel retarded for now, haha.
Destiny 2 will be a first week purchase I think.
