I've been enjoying a lot of jazz lately. I find that agressive music doesn't do it the same as it used to, I think being so stylized made metal/hardcore seem more fully realized musically, but a lot of the things I liked in my metal I like in other music too.
Would highly recommend this

I play a lot of jazz piano, but due to my lack of listening, it’s all in my own jazz dialect, which I suppose isn’t a bad thing, but can make me feel limited when imimprovising sometimes. I’ll check out more of this guy. My jazz listening has been limited to Soil and Pimp Sessions for the last several years. I have all of their albums. Hope I’ll find more modern groups soon to inspire me. Good jazz just feels good.

Wasn't at all into this band until I saw them live this summer. They put on a good enough live show to turn me, plus she truly is a wonderful singer and she can show it off way better live. I feel like at some point in her youth someone tried to make her into a pop star and she said "no thanks I'd rather rock the fuck out instead".
