Icelandic metalcore(?). FFO: Chunky riffs, heavy chaotic vocals THis is really cool! I get kind of Upon A Burning Body vibes from it? From this recommendation I listened to some of their old stuff and enjoy it a lot more, more blackened-hardcore like

Although I’ve been a big fan of Crypt Sermon for a good year or more now, I never found this song of theirs before, and this just blew my mind. They covered Mayhem from one of Mayhem’s most famous efforts. This is certainly how a band should do a cover song...they truly made it their own, and this is shit hot! Of course, if you don’t like doom, this might do nothing for you, but Crypt Sermon’s Candlemass-style epic doom approach is extremely appropriate for a reinterpretation of great black metal. This just works so well. Especially love the middle bits.
