ACTUALLY can we do Being John Malkovich? I know a few of y'all have seen it already but it's been on my list for a while and not as many people I'm connected with on LetterBoxd have seen it as some of the other stuff I was considering. Never seen it before so I’d be down.

Sure, we can do that. Spike Jonze and Charlie Kaufman are two of my faves.

Is that the movie we decided on? I love this film and it's my favorite Spike Jonze picture.

Yoooo sorry for the delay! Been so busy and I feel like I've let everyone down by not watching their movies. I choose Trainspotting! If anyone agrees with that? It's one of my favorite classics.

I do like the idea of trying to watch movies that most of us haven't seen before -- and surely we have all seen that film -- but it's your pick and I'm sure we'll all enjoy it again.

I haven’t seen “Trainspotting” in 5+ years; while I agree with v9733xa on the fact of suggesting choices that any of us haven’t seen yet, I still like this choice.

Yeah I'd third that.

That's the thing about this movie. You watch it and realise how awesome it is and then you forget about it until years later and then rewatch it and feel all nostalgic.

Sure, I'm all for it. I hope it's up for rental somewhere as I don't have a copy myself. I do have Trainspotting 2 that's been sitting on my DVR for almost a year and a half, so it'll be nice to have an excuse to watch that right after this one. Can we get a dedicated thread?

Not until everyone else answers Ghosty ’s questions... Eh, if people weren't stoked on it and don't feel compelled, it's fine.

Not until everyone else answers Ghosty ’s questions... Eh, if people weren't stoked on it and don't feel compelled, it's fine. Poppycock. They're part of the club; if they weren't stoked, say why. Their counterpoint would be just as interesting to hear as mine and v9733xa's positives about the film. don't take this as seriously as it reads. i'm not angry or anything.
