If it makes you feel better, Ghosty , I hadn’t seen “Being John Malkovich” before your rec. I should’ve stuck with my initial rec and made v9733xa watch an anime.... Probably! I can only say that I won't watch horror movies. Everything else, though I have biases, I will see.

Maaaaaaaybe after you see “Spirited Away”? .....................

One way of doing this is to specify movies that haven't been released yet I guess, but there's a cost association with that. It gets around the 'everyone hasn't seen it' issue though.

Sorry I've been slacking guys, I've created the thread for Trainspotting now. To be honest, this has felt like a chore lately so I'm not going to commit to it anymore. I'll let someone else take over the admin side and just dip in and out when there's a film I want to watch. I haven't really enjoyed it since week two - I was much more on board with the idea of us picking films most of us haven't seen and making the decisions more collectively. But I know others don't agree with that approach so I'll just take a step back Thanks for all the work and time spent on this mate. Totally understand why it's become a little tiresome. In defense of the rota approach - I wanted something that was fairer to everyone involved in the club to give everyone a chance to highlight a choice, rather than arguing back and forth about a selection. If people want to tear up the rota and start fresh then I'm all for it. Maybe offering 3 choices and voting on the winner might be a fair solution for future picks?

I’m willing to ride this out for the rest of the season, give everyone else their turn, but if X person doesn’t recommend a film, or even doesn’t start commenting and discussing previous film(s), I would be more than happy to axe their turn and give someone else a turn. After we’ve worked through everyone, them I’m all for trying out voting for a selection. If that’s cool, can everyone hang on for just a little while longer?

So i'm pretty sure i know what movie i want to pick for next month. I need to make sure of one thing first. No, it's not Shoah, but it is a documentary. essien , i guess if you're not "running" this anymore, i'll start the page within the next week or two.

Yeah I've got my movie. I had a DVD that I wasn't sure worked -- it partially doesn't, i have to play it on my laptop instead -- so i'm good. Hopefully since you all don't mind stealing copies, you can find it elsewhere.

Oh, since i never said it yet, next month we're going to watch Jonas Mekas' masterpiece As I Was Moving Ahead Occasionally I Saw Brief Glimpses of Beauty. Shoah is nine and a half hours, and that seemed too long, so instead we'll watch a movie that's only four hours and forty-eight minutes.

If the likes of Pirate Bay has this then I'll give it a whirl (Most likely in 5 sittings), but I can't see this being the type of movie that is still seeded if at all. I'll keep you posted.

chocollama - still alive bro? you're up for a film selection Shit, sorry fellas. Been slacking on Film Club recently as my life has been a little chaotic. I'm gonna go ahead and chose either Sorcerer (1977), Pity (2018), or The Sasquatch Gang (2006). If anyone strongly feels like they're interested in seeing a particular out of the three, let's go with that. I'll decide for sure tomorrow if not.
