For any of you guys who love fantasy books...you need to read the Malazan series if you haven't. It's very long but very worth it. I'm through the first 5 books and it's such an engaging world with a really unique magic system...and it always keeps you guessing. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malazan_Book_of_the_FallenIt's technically 2 authors working on the same series. Erikson is the main guy, and the main series is 10 books. Esslemont wrote 6 books for the series as well...and both are writing prequel trilogies now. There is also a side series of stories related to characters in the main series. This has a recommended reading order (the one with all the books), if you want to tackle it that way. malazan.wikia.com/wiki/Suggested_reading_orderI started reading the series before all came out..so I'm following the reading order on this list...https://www.amazon.co.uk/Malazan-books-recommended-reading-order/lm/R3RUJJ75HU42L3 ... and then adding in the other Esslemont books at the end. Then going into the prequel stuff.

i've been reading 'the world without us' on and off for the past few months and so far it's really interesting. i don't know why exactly i'm not done with it yet, guess the internet just destroyed my attention span completely.
as far as i know the book was a huge inspiration for the last of us, so that's why i bought it initially

I just finished Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón. Really enjoyed how it comes together towards the end.
Now reading Chris Hadfield's book, An Astronaut's Guide to Life on Earth. First chapter was standard shitty ghostwritten autobiography fodder but I'm persevering.
Also picked up Haruki Murakami's new short story collection, Men without Women. He's my favourite writer ever so will be reading it in parallel.

I'm pretty close to finishing the 2nd book in the Black Company series. I like it much better than the 1st book in the series...but it's well written and fits my favorite kind of genre. Basically Epic Fantasy.

I'm in between books at the moment, but I think I'm probably going to do Stoner, Riddley Walker, or The Box Man next. Recently really enjoyed The Road and The Contortionist's Handbook.
