All right, I've been working steadily through lists of recommendations people have been graciously been giving me of what they consider to be the OG's of metalcore, post-hardcore, hardcore, deathcore and emo. I have thrown in some albums I've run across that I wanted to check out, and I've actually swiped a few albums from here. My current situation is this: I'm in the midst of building a fifth list, after which I will be taking a hiatus from these lists. I have 33 slots open to make it to 101, which is the max amount. Good people of the Mosh, give me 33 recommendations for albums YOU consider to be absolutely essential to any of the aforementioned genres. Links below are for the 5 lists, so before you name something, run through them and make sure your rec isn't in there already lol!!! www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?memberid=1131873&listid=185959www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?memberid=1131873&listid=187718www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?memberid=1131873&listid=187240www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?memberid=1131873&listid=187362www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?memberid=1131873&listid=188841Thank you very much in advance!!!!

This is my shit. Okay let's see.
First, wow, you listened to a lot of stuff. Goodness. As i spend all my time on Letterboxd, i guess i know where you've been!
These lists are so huge that I feel like even if i mention something, after reading all of them, i'm going to suggest something that's already there.
I mean, you realize there are 402 albums here? Yikes.

Okay here's what I've got, after a lot of guessing and crtl+F on your pages.
All Else Failed - Archetype
From Ashes Rise - Nightmares
Living Sacrifice - The Hammering Process
Blood Has Been Shed - Spirals
Killwhitneydead - So Pretty So Plastic
Ion Dissonance - Breathing is Irrelevant (this was my computer background from like 2003-2005)
Okay, that's enough.

Thanks very much! I'll look these up and add them to the list!
Yeah, I've been working through these on such a regular basis that I've neglected a lot of 2019 music. Impetus was I had thrown together a list of metalcore albums I enjoyed (at the time), and then all the purists came out of the woodwork... so I take their recs, throw in a couple of my own, listen, opine and wash/rinse/repeat. Not gonna lie there's been some fantastic stuff so far, and I didn't care for Jane Doe

Very sad that this did not get more responses. I can come up with some more. I hope you like the ones i posted. Can you let me know when you listen to them, if so?
Anyway, others that seem to fit. I'm not posting anything past, like, 2006.

I'm too lazy and busy (do those go together???) to get on a VPN and wade through all of this with stupid slow Chinese internet speeds, so I'm not going to check and see if mine are on the lists or not. It's just too much work. Some lesser known ones I liked a lot:
Means- Sending you Strength (sounds very similar to Still Remains- Of Love and Lunacy)
Okay, that's all I got. And really, I don't think they were OGs. I guess I've got nothing, but that Means album is fantastic, so there!

I scrolled through all five lists and I don't think I saw these bands listed- I'm also not sure any of them are OG anything, but I think they fit in with what you've compiled.
Undying - This Day All Gods Die
Welcome To Your Life - There Is No Turning Back I don't think there's a full album video on YouTube (every track is its own video).
Morning Again - As Tradition Dies Slowly
HORSE the Band - R. Borlax Because yeah.

Also, i clicked "play" on all these videos at once. Fun. Real stupid, but fun. Don't listen to them that way.

How about War of Ages? I just saw that they have a new album, but I feel like they’ve been around forever, putting out decent metalcore albums since the beginning.
Also some people were big on Scars of Tomorrow. I had mixed feelings, but I got their debut and liked a bit of it.
Scary Kids Scaring Kids
Heavy Heavy Low Low
Eh, I’m just listing more names. I liked these back in the day.

I'll also add your other recs to the list. I liked Thursday.
