Deftones - Saturday Night Wrist Korn - Untitled Machine Head - Supercharger I think Saturday Night Wrist is awesome because the band was in such a fucked up state when it was written. It's actually one of my favorite records of theirs, I think it tops self-titled for sure.

I actually ended up liking how they went for a faster, really raw hardcore styled sound, but boy was I crushed when this first dropped. Along with every other fan haha. They played all of their songs like twice as fast after this came out too. It was a strange time. ![](http://i.imgur.com/azTc4jf.jpg) Saw them live in Belgium. Such a sick show. Never heard anything about them again after that. A few albums that I don't like: ![](http://www.altpress.com/images/uploads/news/Cruel_Hand_-_The_Negatives.jpg) I can listen to two/three songs on the album but after that it's just over for me. ![](https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/61nvi-c4qIL.jpg) I actually do like this album and some songs on the other albums who came after Breaker but all of them just couldn't top Portraits & Ekklesia.

Dude I used to watch live videos of the European tour you are speaking of, they fucking MURDERED that tour for some reason haha it was awesome! Also it was hard for me to get into The Negatives too but I fucking looove that record now. It's perfect easy listening hardcore.

TLTD is truly awful. Architects: Devil's Island is sick, I don't know what happened with the rest of the album. Daybreaker kind of killed my enthusiasm for the band in general tbh. TDWP: lol UABB: "hey guys let's fake a kidnapping to promote a music video and then act like people are dicks when they say it's not cool lol"

Stoked for Wolves too.

It's actually one of my favorite records of theirs, I think it tops self-titled for sure. I hear you, but disagree about it being better than the self titled album. The lack of a cohesive sound on SNW is what turns me off, they didn't write it together and Chino's drug use during that time affects his performance imo.

The lack of a cohesive sound on SNW is what turns me off, they didn't write it together and Chino's drug use during that time affects his performance imo. Maybe you can enlighten me as to why people enjoy the self titled so much. Outside of Minerva I think it's definitely the most paint-by-numbers Deftones record. Every album of theirs has a very distinct mood, feel and sense of place in time but I just can't find that record's. I hear you on the lack of cohesion in SNW, but that is what makes it feel distinct in their catalog. It seems like it perfectly captures a period of time defined by anxiety, apathy, insecurity, anger and confusion. It's like the record Suicide Silence was trying to make haha. Adrenaline is aggressive youth music. Around the Fur is the band experimenting and developing their sound, showing what their minds are capable of collectively. White Pony is the opus, the record that changed the direction of the band, the record they were born to make. Diamond Eyes is bright and optimistic, the band pulling themselves from shit and pulling together for Chi. Koi No Yokan is dark, passionate and turbulent as they come to grips with the fact that he is likely not coming back. Gore is mature and controlled, it carries a sense of acceptance and moving forward. To me, self-titled just sounds like the label wanted them to make a record after Pony, and the band decided to show their latino side a bit. HELP ME SEE THE LIGHT!

Famous Monsters by Misfits, i enjoy this album, always have and i don't think anyone would have a bad thing to say about it if they didn't say it was a Misfits record. But by Misfits standard yea.....
