Hello friends, I know I started a few things in the task bar but I figured I'd bring it over here because it'd be easier to keep track of. I have started my Anime journey, Cowboy Bebop wasn't for me, I just wasn't feeling it after three episodes so I decided to nope out. Gave Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood a shot and am really enjoying it after finishing the first season. Wasn't super into at first but once the story got a rolling I was hooked. So I'm out in these streets looking for recs I can easily come back to. Stick to Netflix and Hulu please because I'm not going to jump through hoops to DL and cast things. I will always take dubs over subs, and I think I prefer a more modern animation approach but I'm not convinced yet. Thanks in advance for helping me with this journey. If you have HBO give Jujutsu Kaisen a shot. It's just now airing but the dub is pretty good, and they have the rights to the dub in the US (idk where you are). AOT is a great rec for new anime fans for sure, the episode count isn't too high and it's in its final season currently. You also might dig Parasite, the Maxim. Only 24 episodes and I really enjoyed it. Promised Neverland like others (Baker?) said is really good as well. I'm also halfway through Akudama Drive, and if ya like sci fi/cyberpunk shit you'd probably dig it. Also brand new. Finally, its def the longest recommendation I have but if you like sports and/or ever played on a team in high school, I fucking love Haikyu. It's about high school volleyball, but the animation is pretty insane and its the GOAT sports anime. I made fun of my friend relentlessly for recommending it to me, and when I finally watched it I was hooked. Real lighthearted and fun, but all the actual matches are hype as fuck.

Finished the first season of My Hero Academia today. Looking forward to seeing how it progresses. Next up is gonna be Demon Slayer when it drops on the UK Netflix on Friday.
I'm also rewatching the Studio Ghibli films in the order they were released. Emotionally preparing myself for Grave of the Fireflies.

Also, one thing I always hated was Season 1 Todoroki character design. The half man/ice thing looks ridiculous. all the other seasons are fantastic, but man, that one arc is fire. My girlfriends favourite arc is start of season 3, and honestly it's my 2nd fave too. Starts out at a camp and goes for a hot minute. I wont say anything, but I'd put it as my 2nd fave arc. Also, Tucker mention Jujutsu Kaisen. I've been in love with this show since it started airing. Crunchyroll has all the dubs and subs. I'm on like, episode 13 for that? and rewatching the dub with the gf and we're on 6? maybe 7?

I've been rewatching the dubs with Wilder cause he's dyslexic and gets filled with anxiety when he was to watch subs with other people cause he has to pause all the time, but they're really good! Also, I think the first half of season 4 was my favorite, but I loved all of MHA. Never read the manga cause I enjoy the show so much, but season 2 is insane as well. You really can't go wrong with it!

Suneaters was pretty solid, but Fat gum and Kirishima was like 5 or 6 chapters and they made it like 3/4 of an episode. Then Mirio and Overhaul was just a montage, but that fought was so epic in the manga. If anything, read those

I liked those fights a lot in the show but probably cause it was my only exposure to em. I'm not too big into manga personally, it tends to feel too much like a loose storyboard to me typically. I do love Junji Ito's works, and I've been pretty into Berserk, and I am caught up with the manga in One Piece but I only did that recently. Other than that, I haven't read shit lol

Done with season 3 of AOT, I'm probably going to wait for season 4 to be done before I jump into it, but I'm absolutely loving the ride so far.
I'm a few episodes into Deathnote so far and am really digging it, I was curious how they were going to pull off the premise but they figured it out, I'm hooked already.
I was going to jump into Code Geass after Deathnote, but I might check out Demon Slayer first because one of my best friends is pumped about a movie coming out and wants to drag me into it.
You did it weebs you made me an Anime fan, I hope you're proud of yourselves!
