I'm excited for the December updates. hopefully it revitalizes the game enough (both patches and DLC)

Band aid solutions to a larger problem. A step in the the right direction but I would suspect the game to be more worthwhile until their big expansion after the next two expansions have ran their course.

Wish I can say otherwise but this DLC is pretty disappointing already. It's amazing how big of a studio Bungie is yet this is the best they can do. The amount of content that's included with this DLC should of been free update or at the very least $10. Guess we'll have to see how this new raid lair turns out but so far I'm pretty happy about not preordering the DLC on PC with how much a waste it's been so far.

I enjoyed the missions + adventures added to the base story. Took me and a buddy about 4-hours to get through it all and now it's back to "end-game". I'll be playing it until I get all 3 chars to max light level and then just do my weekly engrams, while waiting for the PvP changes to come.

Is it worth getting for the gear if I'm alright with Destiny 2 as it is right now? Obviously it could be better and I understand a lot of the common complaints, but I didn't play D1 at all and I haven't been having the same overwhelmingly negative experience as everyone else apparently is.

Honestly if you're still planning or are still interested in playing D2 and are on the fence about it then you're gonna have a hard time playing much besides PvP and old strikes without the DLC so it's best you just get it and hope they can make it better further down the road. But in any other case I'd definitely recommend passing on this one as it stands. My 2 cents.

I still haven't done a lot of endgame stuff like Trials or the raid because I only ever play with one other person and using out-of-game LFG tools is fucking stupid, so I don't know if I'll be missing a ton without the DLC. I'd honestly rather wait for a sale, but it'll still be full price in a decade because Activision. My biggest problem with this game is that it's almost impossible to get unbiased opinions about anything about it. Like the Destiny board on Reddit or GameFAQs or the official forums are just filled with complaints and people taking the piss out of people who actually like the game. Appreciate the honest thoughts that aren't just "fuck this game, fuck Bungie, and fuck you" because they don't seem possible to find anywhere else.

Considering you're enjoying the game even w/o playing "end-game" activities is maybe enough for me to recommend you get it. It's only 20$ and I don't think it'll go on sale any time soon. Maybe it'll drop in price close to when the next DLC drops, which I believe is set for March or Summer? (Not sure). There's also mentions of another patch update to the game next Tuesday (prob a nerf to the trace rifle that is OP rn in crucible among other things). Hit me up on weekends if you see me on for Trials. Friends and I always seem to be missing that 4th person to enter Trials of the Nine. We love PvP and are hungry to go flawless!

Raid lair looked pretty cool, and they let us know about the length ahead of time so my expectations were appropriate. It's pretty much like Crota's End. I'm fine with this honestly and it looks a lot better then the original Leviathan raid. At least there's a saving grace to this DLC lol.

i just dislike that they knowingly shipped PLens with a bug. As much as i love laser light shows... I think they've handled it pretty well tbh. They could piss people off and disable it or cancel Trials this weekend, but it's pretty fun to feel OP as fuck for a few days. Nobody is grossly overpowered if everyone is grossly overpowered. Honestly Crucible is more enjoyable with the TTK from Prometheus than it normally is.

Honestly Crucible is more enjoyable with the TTK from Prometheus than it normally is. When I played a couple of matches with it you ended up feeling like it was more about caution and strategy when everyone had it. I know I personally didn't stack with my team, like normal, and instead stayed around a corner behind my teammate. If they engaged I would come to lend the assist or fallback and wait for the, likely, weaked targets to come around the corner.
