I feel bad hearing you guys saying there's little to no good outdoor climbing spots where you live, when I have zero interest in climbing but live in one of the best areas in North America for climbing

Lol today I got in a two hour arms day session at the gym, and also got approached by local Chinese women who wanted me to train them on triceps. Confidence booster maybe? Lol
I love my routines. There was a two week stretch a few weeks ago in which I wasn’t able to go to the gym due to the Covid cases that weren’t even that close. The gym is one of the only routines in my life that is truly a ME moment/thing. I need it, and I enjoy it immensely. Also, I’m getting bigger. Seeing progress is fun.

I'm currently the most fat I've been since I was like 16. Depression hit me like a motherfucker this year but I'm doing my best to get through it and hope that I can try to get back on track and into the gym soon.

Depression hit me like a motherfucker this year but I'm doing my best to get through it and hope that I can try to get back on track and into the gym soon. What's been working for me in terms of that is to separate feeling with thinking. So just observe what's being felt without any action needed. I'd always tried to impose results onto feeling to fix everything, but it just doesn't work that way. Results such as acceptance, liberation, and newfound excitement come with the process of going through what's felt. It's simply being with the pain in total mental silence, with no reaction. Just observation. It's easier said than done and it still takes time and patience, but for me this method has changed my life. Honestly, I think taking care of our mind is number one and the motivation and enjoyment to take care physically becomes automatic.

And a simple, straight forward one when your use to doing it I assume? I'm going to try to put this into practice, thank you man!!

Thanks homie. Yeah, it's become my way of life really. The main thing is that we're human and human emotions can be tidal waves. So taking the time and patience to be with what you're feeling allows it to pass. It's totally the opposite of traditional western psychology where you talk things out. For me that only enables, so silence and patience are my only approaches now. When the emotion clears, the mind is free and unbothered. What I do is just lay down somewhere very comfortable and my attention is fully with what's being felt. Even though it still hurts at times, any other approach prolongs the pain where this method allows for clearance. There's no getting around being human and facing hardships but we can choose how to handle it, and I choose non-reaction. Physically I've been feeling about the best I've ever felt because I truly believe our mind and the way we think affects our physical energy. And vice versa, so it's important to be in tune with both.
