The Missing: J.J. Macfield and the Island of MemoriesWell, it is that time of year again, where I go through all the odd titles I've been putting off. Specifically been fighting off a cold and this game has been keeping me company as the perfect medicine. Anyone who has played a Swery game before (D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die and Deadly Premonition) will know that he is known for making a unforgettable, if not, strange experience. The Missing definitely doesn't disappoint, although I would argue it is a lot more digestible this time around. You play as J.J. who is out on a campaign trip with her girlfriend Emily. When Emily goes missing you must explore the island to find her. In the first 10 minutes of the game you'll find out what makes the way you solves puzzles so unique. After a accident imbues J.J. with a unique set of abilities you'll be able to solve any puzzle standing in your way. Been a fantastic game to sit on the couch while being sick with a ghastly cold and just play through and enjoy every second. There is a lot of style and substance to the game that makes it special. I haven't completed the game yet, but judging by the amount of collectibles I have it seems to be a rather short experience. Would recommend this game to anyone who likes puzzle games, especially of the side scrolling variety like Inside, Limbo, The Swapper, or Oddworld).

Been playing lots of Monster Hunter Gen U and Hollow Knight on my new Switch. I didn't think Hollow Knight would be as huge, hard, and as long as a game as it is. The map is MASSIVE.

On Christmas, I caved in and finally bought Dark Souls on my Switch. Downloaded it from the online store. Best/worst decision I’ve ever made. I do believe Dark Souls is my favorite game of all time. Replacing Earthbound as my favorite game is a tough call, but I think it is the most infinitely replayable game I’ve ever played outside of The Binding Of Isaac.

Playing through Shadow of the Tomb Raider. I love the gameplay of the reboot series but it's been very same-y across the three games they've put out. I'm sure I'll enjoy this one but I think it's the last time they can use it without it getting stale.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate; been steadily working through the “World Of Light” mode, which kinda feels like Brawl’s “Subspace Emissary” v. 2.0. Beat Galeen while switching from Kirby < Mario < Bowser as mains. On to Dharkon...

I'm not much of a gamer if I'm not playing WoW or Skyrim. That being said I picked up the new Trials Rising this morning and have had a lot of fun with it so far.

Trials Fusion was the first game I picked up after purchasing my PS4 back in the day. The number of hours I punched into that game...it’s insanity! I now feel the Trials Rising fever. Are there seemingly a lot of levels? If it’s low on level content I might get bored with it fast because I am really good at these games and finish them quickly.

I've been playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered this weekend since it was free with PS Plus this month. Bought a headset so I could get properly into it. It's been a nostalgia trip, playing those maps again feels like returning to places from my childhood. I enjoy the simplicity of it too, compared to the recent Call of Duty games. Limited customisation, simpler and more predictable gameplay, less high tech weapons and killstreaks. So much better.

It's hard for me to say, I only played a little bit of fusions I enjoyed it but a faulty controller ruined it for me. I'm not really good at the game so it'll keep me occupied for awhile lol, I'd consult Google with how much content there is. If you do start playing hmu, I'm on PC but it might be cross platform I don't know.

The Division 2. Pre-ordered it, so they gave me three day early access.

Finished “Valiant Hearts” yesterday. All in all, took me around 4-5 hours to finish, and that’s going back to 100% the levels looking for collectibles. Good, fun little game that managed to bring the feels.

Infinitely replayable. You might like bloodborne. It's dark souls with Isaac style dungeons Pretty excited for cyberpunk 2077 but long developments are never a good sign. very weary now

Borderlands: Game of the Year EnhancedThe Matt Reptar and myself played a ton of the original Borderlands back in the day. I remember us playing and doing all the side missions to the point where it kind of got boring. In comparison to Borderlands 2, the original game can be kind of hard to finish. With them gearing up for Borderlands 3, releasing this on modern consoles, and giving it a fresh coat of paint it seemed like the perfect excuse to pick this back up. My schedule is a mess, so playing with friends hasn't been a luxury. Instead of moping around wishing I had more free time, I just decided to jump in an experience Borderlands as a single player game. This wasn't something I had done with a Borderlands game until the original 360 version came out so playing the Enhanced version alone brought back all sorts of nostolgia. I ended up remembering the majority of the beginning areas and where all the chests were. One nice features that brought into the enhance version is Gold Keys. I remember opening chest after chest with Reptar and both of us having too many new guns that we couldn't carry anymore. Getting some decent guns to start with definitely makes a difference and a level 5 gun I got in the beginning was still making a sizeable dent in level 20 content. Playing through this game really does just show how much they've perfected the formula when they made Borderlands 2. A lot of what is great about the series is present in the original game but toned down and not nearly as high stakes or absurd. The original Borderlands puts you in a pretty grim world with a sprinkle of humor here and there. Playing it almost 10 years ago it was revolutionary and playing it now you can definitely see some of the wear but it does still hold up. I've been having a hard time pushing myself to play anything most days and finishing a game seems impossible. The mindless action of Borderlands seems to be scratching an itch for me right now though and I really couldn't be happier. Playing it solo has its downfalls but at the same time I'm more invested in the story and I'm way more focused on what guns I bring into battle and what upgrades I choose for my character. Overall the game is nice to revisit, I'm hoping I'm able to beat it for the first time as I usually get burnt out on the Borderlands formula before I can finish. The quests are great, just all the backtracking with respawning enemies can be obnixious. I would recommend anyone who never played a Borderlands game or how just missed out on it to give it a chance. The game still has plenty of charm and is still super fun to jump in as one of the best co-op experiences available.

It was great to watch the game engine commit suicide every time I fired
