Finished Detroit. A little annoyed that it was the PS+ game this month after I'd just bought it on sale, but it was worth it either way. Doubt I'll play through it to get the different endings however.
Now playing through Final Fantasy VI for the first time. I'm running it on a GBA emulator on my MacBook linked up to my TV with a PS4 controller. And I've put a few mods on the ROM so it's more authentic to the original SNES game than the GBA version. I don't do much retro gaming but I make an exception for FF.

I play Halo 3 on my Xbox when I feel the need to blow shit up (on a video game only of course, just for sake of context), even though that game is old as hell now. Still have like 4 other games I bought years back, but never even really dove into yet.
Otherwise my N64 is still my jam - Super Mario 64, Mario Kart (or Kario Mart if you play the drinking version), and Super Smash Bros among others.

getting ready for the new Fire Emblem and playing FE: Radiant Dawn on my WiiU. I learned my lesson from Shadow Dragon, and I’m going more slowly and deliberately this time around, making sure I won’t lose anyone to permadeath. It’s a bit frustrating though, because my heavy I just received at the end of the last level is one-shot bait atm; how can I level you up if all you do is die on me?!?!

my stardew valley addiction returned once again What did you think of the trailer for the BOTW sequel? I only watched it once right when it came out and bf is sleeping right now/can't find my headphones BUT from what I remember it looked good. Definitely gave me that "spark" every (main story line) Zelda trailer in the past did, so that's a good sign. Generally I'm hoping that more "old school" temples will be in the game again bc while the beasts were cool they weren't nearly as hard to beat as any temple in any other game before. And honestly while the concept of shrines is cool I also hope that they will kinda reboot them and not make them only puzzles again. One thing I do want to see return are korok seeds!! Love all the little dudes, definitely need to get one tattooed one day. But hey all that wasn't in the trailer, I guess we'll have to wait for gameplay footage to be released to really be able to have an opinion about it. Also honestly I don't even need that game tho, I reckon I could at this point still very well spend another 150hours in BOTW, I finished the main story line but I only played around 50 hours in total, so didn't get a lot of side quests or anything done really haha. What did you think?

What did you think? Honestly, I got excited for it. IIRC, I spent 120+ hrs in BOTW, but then again I was trying to find/complete sidequests, and managed (painfully) to find all the shrines. I kinda hope they do a combo of temples and bring the beasts back in some way, and hopefully make Zelda a playable character. I’m ready to dive back into the world they created.

I finally got around to starting Super Mario Odyssey a few days ago. I have a feeling I’m about 75% through it already, as it seems kinda short to me, and I’m progressing through it very quickly. It is way easier to me than Super Mario 64 was, which is maybe the only thing I feel I’m missing with Odyssey, as 64 is my favorite. But seriously, wow! Odyssey is such an awesome game! I especially love the incorporation of old school side scrolling 8 bit action amidst 3D rendered worlds. I also just think New Donk City is the coolest Mario world I’ve seen.

I’m about to start Final Fantasy VII again, now that I have it on Switch. Maybe this time I’ll FINALLY be able to feel certain about the plot twists and how everything actually occurred, as I always get to the end and feel totally mindfucked by it, trying to really piece the events together logically.
Of course, if anyone thinks they’ve got the plot thing figured out, especially regarding who is Cloud in the beginning, who does Tifa actually know or not know well from childhood, a bunch of other goodies that you can probably imagine I’m hinting at, feel free to shoot it at me, because I’d love to feel better informed before I begin the game again. I feel I’ve almost got it, but then when I finish the game, I always feel there are holes in the plot which leave me wondering endlessly. And that ending is totally lackluster. I hope the remake gives us something more satisfying.
Speaking of, I’m replaying this time to prepare myself for the remake!

I just finished Fire Emblem: Three Houses on the Switch. Holy fuck that game was good. Haven't binged something as hard in a long while. Gave me that hollow feeling once it was over like finishing a great book.

I'm having that issue where I hop from game to game and never really finish a thing. I've been playing a bunch of roguelites that are really easy to pick up like Enter The Gungeon, Don't Starve, or Risk of Rain.
Other games: Final Fantasy 14, Neverwinter Nights on GoG, and I'm playing through Vampire the Masquerade for the 3rd time.

I just picked my Switch up for the first time in like 2 weeks last night and played a little Rad, and I’ve actually gone back to my 3DS right now and giving it a little lovin’.

Well, I didn’t play a video game since nearly 30 days ago. I touched my switch twice since the day I said I was starting Final Fantasy VII. I guess I just wasn’t feeling it enough to stick with it. However, I do expect to latch onto my next gaming venture, as the game I’ve most wanted to play again ever is now on my Switch.
Tonight, I start Final Fantasy VIII, my favorite of the series! Love it or hate it, this was a long time coming, and I’m so thrilled to finally get to play it again on a modern console. I can only hope that my flickering and fleeting interest in video games will last long enough for me to finish this game.
