I live in Atlanta and this weekend has been absolutely heartbreaking. Any other U.S. marshers seen riots in their city?

I love my city. I love the people in it. It breaks my heart to see the damages of these riots. It also breaks my heart to know the degree of frustration, anger, and suffering that have led my neighbors and fellow citizens to take these measures.
Also fuck looters.

Nothing in tiny Dover, but decent sized demonstrations in Wilmington the last couple days. Some small incidents but mostly peaceful. They blocked I-95 for a while. It's a small city but has a deep history of racial tension, including some of the worst riots in 1967 of any urban area. Though there haven't been occasions of police violence there that I know of, it's a deeply divided city with stark economic segregation, only exacerbated by urban renewal and gentrification that's pushed out a lot of families of color or raised their rents so high as to be unaffordable.

Good thing Donald Trump is doing his best to ease tension and unite the country.

Good thing Donald Trump is doing his best to ease tension and unite the country. If there is a silver lining to 2020 it's that it likely cost Donald reelection.

Good thing Donald Trump is doing his best to ease tension and unite the country. If there is a silver lining to 2020 it's that it likely cost Donald reelection. He now has two momentous events taking place that he could be trying to spearhead and show leadership during, but his concerns lie elsewhere for whatever reason.

Also Cleveland and Columbus were both pretty bad, I have a lot of friends in both downtown's who witnessed. Some of them even we're affected via their vehicles or workplaces being damaged. Akron wasn't destroyed but there was a really ugly incident where a douchebag in a pickup drove it into a group and levelled a dude. Basically no one is winning in this situation and everyone is trying to point all the blame on the other guy, which is true for all American politics which is why I stopped caring about politics.

I think most of you have seen the incident, but in case you haven't or aren't sure what really happened, this is the best representation on what transpired a week ago tonight:

Shame on him for not getting up and getting into the police cruiser while 500+ lbs held him down. Brilliant logic by the police.

A small rally in Dover yesterday was peaceful and joyous at Legislative Hall, then got a little angrier but still peaceful when it marched to the nearest police station, though mostly dispersed with organizers shaking officers' hands and walking down the street.
It got slightly more heated with a smaller crowd as they started down a main thoroughfare, then to a main highway and the local mall. There were incidents of looting, one of the only times in the city's history, at two stores just outside the mall late at night. Tear gas was used and flashbangs. I don't live too far from there so I heard the flashbangs. They are really really loud and you know exactly what they are when they're used. I don't know if arrests were made but it was a really small group not originally part of the first protest.
The city has a 9pm curfew. We'll see what happens next.

virginia Beach had a peaceful protest untill after the original group left then they started looting and breaking store front windows. Then they lit trash on fire in the middle of the street. Tear gas was used. But nothing that crazy happened here. The surrounding cities had peaceful protests with the police joining them.
