paprika was kinda bad thinking back on it, some really good animation and transitions and even great concept but i think overall the execution was poor.
Just finished season 1 of noragami, thought it was awesome, really solid. Good animation, music, humor and fight scenes. Won't just jump straight into season 2, just so i can let it linger.
i've heard jujutsu kaisen is insane so i dnno if i'll watch that next.

I absolutely loved Demon Slayer, the theme and writing was really well done and I like how the plot kind of flowed like a video game. And the animation style was so damn cool, it's unlike anything I've seen in my weeks of watching anime.
Onto Code Geass.
Probably going to jump into Avatar, One Punch Man, or Gintama after this.

And the animation style was so damn cool, it's unlike anything I've seen in my weeks of watching anime. Onto Code Geass. Probably going to jump into Avatar, One Punch Man, or Gintama after this. You're not ready for Gintama imo. I've been watching anime for half a decade now and while I do love the show, it's kind of a slog to get through for a while and it's episodic so it's not as satisfying as others you've been watching. Real hard to binge. I'm only on episode 99 and I've been watching it for a couple years. I do think it's worth watching, but it's nonstop references to Japanese culture and other anime/manga and unless you've already seen a bunch of it the jokes are gonna go over your head. Even with as much as I've seen, I only catch like 60% of them. Avatar is fucking great, love one punch man's first season but the second (while enjoyable) has a STEEP drop off in animation quality. Think nonstop still shots like the days of Saturday morning yugioh and shit. If you like OPM though, you should def watch Mob Psycho 100, same author but imo it's way better, with better animation and music and pretty much everything. I couldn't get too into Code Geass cause it felt kinda like the same show as death note but with a different setting. I need to check it out again one day, but I stopped like 4 or 5 episodes in. Also, since you liked Demon Slayer, I cannot recommend Jujutsu Kaisen enough. Top tier modern shonen, lots of blood and great animation and fight sequences. Another phenomenal one is Vinland Saga, same studio as AoT but it's about vikings and shit. Amazing show. If you're into the idea of a long running anime, there are several you could check out. HunterxHunter is a great one, 144 episodes so it's got some length but it's not too intimidating. Yu Yu Hakusho is a classic and I absolutely loved it when I watched it for the first time a year ago (same author as HxH). Naruto is honestly just fine, has some high points, but drops off super quick after the Pain arc. I never finished it, and I might not tbh. Like I said before, Haikyuu is fucking awesome if you like sports. Also, my all time favorite anime is One Piece. Absolute blast from the beginning to the end, and I finally caught up to the manga recently. I watched the anime til I caught up to that, and started reading the manga from there. Where it's at now is absolutely BANANAS.

Yo I been watching AoT this whole time, this arc is fucking insane. Last episode felt like a total info dump, but I can't wait to see where it goes. Probably gonna finish as the GOAT.

I will take a lot of this advice, Gintama has a bunch of characters that are always popping up on "most popular" lists, which is how I've been approaching my first show selections. Hunter x Hunter was already on my list so I'll probably slot that in place of Gintama. If I stick with the genre I'll probably get there eventually. It's funny you say that about Code Geass, while I am really enjoying it I think I'd like it a lot more if I hadn't just watched Death Note. Lelouch has way too many similarities to Light for them to all be a coincidence.

Lelouch has way too many similarities to Light for them to all be a coincidence. Yeah Gintama deserves all the accolades and shit but it's def one for after you've already plowed through most of the other popular ones! It's super funny but it might not land until you watch enough other shit. I think I would have hated it if I had started really early in my anime days. Also for HxH, it was AMAZING until this one really long arc towards the end, where it just kinda dragged for a while. The payoff is 100% worth it, but I'm very much in the minority for hating the chimera ant arc, cause lots of people consider it the best arc in shonen history. For me everything leading up to it was great, but the show is still totally worth it and one of my favorite shonens. Yeah that's exactly how I felt about it. The author straight up took light and made them a character in something else. And like you I enjoyed what I was watching, but the similarities were too striking so I put it down. Maybe some other day I'll pick it back up! Also another great anime I just remembered if you're looking for something quick is Dorohedoro. Absolute batshit post-apocalyptic world with sorcerers and tons of gore and wild moments, highly recommend it. Super funny too. Never seen anything like it. It's on Netflix. And if you feel like you wanna get into mecha anime, my all time favorite is Gurren Lagann. It's a total blast from beginning to end, and you find yourself cheering for it the more and more absurd it gets. Pretty sure it has the record for largest mech in any medium ever.

Is the over sexualization of high school age girls just something I'm going to have to deal with for some Anime?
On a total unrelated note I'm mostly enjoying the first five or so episodes of Kill la Kill so far!

As for the teenage girls, shounen anime is meant to be aimed at young teens/high school kids. Hence why a lot of it takes place in that age range

It irked me in doses in shows like Code Geass, but KLK might be a little to extra at least to sit down and binge like I've binging most of my anime. However KLK does fall right enough into that "dumb but fun" slot so I might get through it an episode at a time over time. I'm probably going to jump into something else for my next binge, HXH or One Piece, maybe Stein's Gate. Gotta watch some trailers and deliberate.

That's dedication. HxH is 144ish.
