DRIVE TO SURVIVE MARCH 11TH!!! I will not be working that day, I can assure you. Genuinely not sure I can bring myself to watch it The last episode is going to have me either in tears or bring back all the pure anger I had again. The FIA letting Masi go, is pretty much a confirmation that they agreed what happened in AD was a disgrace. Hope we get some major behind the scenes looks on what transpired after the race.

Netflix is going to need closer to 20 episodes this year to do last season justice. The title race, the second Merc seat, Ferrari on the rise, Ocon getting a win/Alonso being a team player, McLaren bagging a 1/2, Williams back in the points/Russell podium, farewell to Kimi (which will be brief and hysterical), team radio/Masi Drama, that crowd in Austin, Leclerc throwing away Monaco. I could go on and on, they might not have time to get Guenther Steiner the screen time they want.

What's everyone thinking about the new models? I think these have to be the nicest looking F1 cars ever, my lord they are beautiful. And the massive differences between them is INSANE.
So far based on looks I've got 1. Mercedes 2. Aston Martin 3. Williams 4. Alpha Tauri 5. Red Bull 6. Ferrari 7. McLaren 8. Haas

Haas I'm not a huge fan of the new models - they just look a bit too curvy for me (and not in a thicc sense). Especially the rear wings. Best looking livery for me is the Aston. So clean. I quite like the Ferrari too as it's a bit different. My all time favourite F1 car is the 2006 Renault. Iconic livery, low profile and a super clean design.

I think I'll always prefer the aesthetics of the older cars because no halo. I am starting to get used to it though. The other thing the older cars have going for them is the engine sound. Have a listen to this...

Overall I like the design of the new cars, they look clean and fresh. I don't care too much about the liveries especially if these new cars can follow and overtake like they're telling us they should be able too. I'd rather watch exciting races with ugly cars than shit racing with pretty cars.
Now that I think about it Indycar does a decent job of having exciting races with ugly cars lol.

That's definitely true. I might get into Indy this year! Montreal Grand Prix is confirmed for me! Got my tickets, flights and hostel booked! June can not come soon enough. Does anyone have tips on things to do or to make sure not to miss at a Grand Prix? It'll be my first ever!

If it’s general admission then I’d just say try and get your spot early in the day on race day. As well as picking a good section of the track, you want to be near a big screen and loudspeaker or you won’t be able to follow what’s happening in the race. Not sure what Montréal is like but might be worth taking a radio if the coverage isn’t good (or if it’s in French!). Definitely don’t skip the support races, they’re sometimes more entertaining than the F1. And make the most of all the stuff they put on around the track, like car displays etc. All pretty obvious stuff!

I'm going alone so I fully intend to completely nerd out and be there early, stay late and attend every event possible. I do have a grand stand seat thankfully as I've read Montreal is a great GP for fans but not for General Admission as it's a fairly flat track. Which makes it hard to get a good viewing point. Going to have to sharpen up my French beforehand as well haha, but in all seriousness Montreal is about 50/50 so I'll be fine! God, I cannot wait!
