I’m just happy when there’s two teams duking it out to be honest. For the whole time I’ve been watching F1, the majority of seasons have been dominated by one team or driver. There were the Ferrari/Schumacher years, the Red Bull/Vettel years and then the Mercedes/Hamilton years. I can only think of a few seasons where more than two constructors were genuinely competitive. So I’m seeing the Ferrari/Red Bull battle as having lot of potential.
I’m not convinced Mercedes will be able to solve the issues since it seems to be a power issue as much as aero. I read that they’re targeting Imola for their next significant upgrades so let’s see.
Shocking to see Hamilton go out in Q1 but at least Max isn’t capitalising.
Do you guys think the race should go ahead given the nearby terrorist attack?

Crazy hearing Lewis say that he can't keep up with the Haas haha. Super sketchy to go forward with the race, thankfully nothing happened!! |

Back in Australia this week!
I'm hoping both Alpha Tauri's can get in the points, would be great to see Pierre make a hard push for Checo or somebody else's seat next year in a stronger car.
Reckon it'll be another Ferrari filled podium with a possible good showing out of a Mercedes to get a spot? or do you guys think it's still much too early to be expecting Merc to find their way? Me being a Max hater makes me want to avoid saying he'll be there even though I know damn well that he will be hahaha
Any predictions?

Well Monaco was a proper shit show wasn't it?
I really do love Monaco, yes it's sub optimal from an overtaking perspective, but I love watching the strategy have such a big impact, and the tight and narrow track. I hope it sticks around.

That safety car with 2 laps to go must have had Ericsson shitting his pants haha. I'm really excited for Baku this weekend, last years race was so crazy with the Verstappen tire failure and then the Hamilton fuck up on the restart. ......Weekend after that, is CANADA! It's going to be my first ever F1 event. I'm so fucking stoked. I fly to Montreal that Thursday and fly back to BC on Monday. If anyone has any F1 first timer or even Montreal recommendations, please swing them my way! |

Half way through the season, how is everyone feeling? It has been a terrific season so far and the racing has been top notch compared to years past.
US Grand Prix is getting closer and closer. I have my airbnb and trip all planned out - taking my son and picking up my brother in Dallas on the way to Austin. Woot Woot!
