Any reason you don't like lofi BM??? It sounds like dick imo. I kind of get the appeal and the disdain for "over-produced" stuff, but I like the clarity that comes with actual production values. I'd rather listen to something that can be deciphered and digested cleanly than something that sounds like it was recorded with a water-logged mic hung from the ceiling of a concrete basement. Appreciate the in-depth reply, though. I'm a little behind on getting to the stuff that y'all posted, but I'll definitely have some more time this weekend. |

found this band on the old board and loved them ever since. This record was amazing. It's a pity the band abandoned this sound on their follow up EP. |

Marduk - classic swedish black metal.
Der Weg Einer Freiheit - amazing german band, really epic and melancholic sound. Check out the album Stellar if you havent.
Funeral mist - side project from Mortuus (Marduks singer), amazingly well written stuff. Especially the lyrics. Maranatha is probably one of my favourite albums ever.
