Finished up Cruel Summer. FFO 13 Reasons Why and 90s nostalgia. Borderline trash but I enjoyed it.

You guys got me to check out Lost season 1! My cousin is on the first season! I remember having this discussion on an old iteration of TDM with Riley. Ian Somerhalder plays a character you will see in that season. He’s a cousin of mine, although I have never had time to meet him after I grew up. I do love that show. I never finished it actually.

I am SO FUCKNIG STOKED for this. One of my absolute favorite book series and I really trust the people in charge of bringing it to my viewing pleasure.
Please be warned, if you are going to watch this show DO NOT GOOGLE ANYTHING! It's a 14 book series and a lot happens and a lot can change, if any of you have any questions about characters or what's going on, ask me directly and I'd be happy to explain in a non spoilery fashion. I might make a thread about it when it comes out if it has enough traction, this show has GoT budget and Amazon has GoT expectations for it.

The Untold series on Netflix had some really awesome episodes. The Hockey one was easily my favorite.

Just started Squid Game on Netflix, new Korean hit.
God damn am I enjoying this so much!! Made the massive mistake of watching 1 episode before having to go to work and that 9hr shift killed me waiting to get home to watch more.

Currently watching Midnight Mass, which is a fantastic way to kick off spooky season. I am loving the remote island community vibe. Some of the horror elements have been inspired. Should finish it up tonight. Also started Foundation at the weekend. I’m not sure it’s going to be an A1 show but the sci-fi aesthetics are so nice to look at, it’s worth it just for that.

I finished The Chestnut Man on Netflix last week. I watched loads of Nordic noir shows back when they first became popular but hadn’t seen one in a while. This was a pretty good effort but just felt a bit too familiar. Like they were ticking off a list of tropes (but doing it well). Still, enjoyable autumnal viewing.
Last night I made a start on the new Prime adaptation of I Know What You Did Last Summer. The original movie adaptation is one of my favourite slashers. I’m not sure what to make of this version after the first episode. The direction they’ve taken with the story has me interested but I feel like I’m being force fed obnoxious Gen Z characters. It could go either way at this point.
And I’m still watching and loving Squid Game.

Anyone watching Succession? It's getting quite the push everywhere but I tried the first ep last night and thought it was terrible. Should I be more patient and push through?

Haven't seen this but everyone I talk to keeps telling me I need to watch it. Might give the first episode a go this weekend, I'll let you know if I get into it!

Update since my last post: - Finished Squid Game. My interest in it fizzled out towards the end, I just didn't feel a connection with the characters. Lots of good set pieces though. - On the final episode of I Know What You Did Last Summer. It's been awful but I'm a completist so I have to see it through. - Still watching Foundation. It's not great but there's some interesting characters and it's nice to look at. - The Raincoat Killer. Like watching a dark Korean thriller but it's a docu-series about a real life serial killer.
Looking forward to starting the new seasons of Dickinson and Narcos: Mexico this weekend.
