Beat Rift Apart the other day, def one of the best Ratchet and Clank games ever. Still playing through Returnal and the Mass Effect trilogy, and I just started Inside for the first time the other day. Also playing through Divinity Original Sin 2 with some homies, one of the best RPGs I've ever played!

Haven't done much gaming lately as the Euros have been filling up my schedule but currently playing through Dino Crisis on my PlayStation Classic, the Spyro remaster and the Final Fantasy 7 Remake DLC.

I plugged in my PS4 for the first time in several months. I was going to play around with Skater XL with short 5 minute bursts before work or during my post-gym cool down periods. However, thanks to deathly slow wifi in China during evenings it is a no-go, as the game needs to connect to a server before letting you play at all, and I literally watched it on the loading screen for half an hour before it finally showed me my skater to let me ride. No freaking thanks!
So now I’m thinking about playing Bloodborne instead while I’ve got it plugged in. Hmm...

I played Bloodborne for about 4 or 5 hours over the last three days or so. I used to play through that game all the time a few years back, but now I think with my change of lifestyle I cannot really handle the difficult passage of the game that I'm at right now...where there's the hunter up at the top of the bell tower or whatever who's constantly shooting machine gun rounds at you. I might come back and get through it sometime, but I already need a change of pace. Still, this is interesting for me because I basically stopped playing big games for more than 2 years now. Usually I plugged in my PS4 and unplugged it and packaged it away in the same day and didn't touch it again in recently experiences. I'm trying to rediscover myself and my interests.
So now I'm thinking of going less stressful and replaying Persona 5, which I loved so much and knew I wanted to play through again at some point. I think I liked Persona 4 Golden even more, but I don't have my PS Vita with me and I don't want to ask my mom to ship it over to China since there's a high chance I'll never use it. So I'll probably do Persona 5.

Chernobylite is out Oct 1st for PS4 and XBOX.
This game is set in a realistic 3D scan of the Chernobyl exclusion zone, keeping the original city layout and all.
This is reason enough for me to finally buy a PS4, been waiting for this game for so long. Will the price of PS4 go down shortly bf Xmas, is it worth waiting a bit longer, what do y'all think?

I just finished Iki Island in the Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut. Huge fan of the original release so I was super keen to revisit the world. Pleasantly surprised by how well the new content complements the rest of the story. Really felt like it added another layer of depth to it. Now to finish my New Game+.
I also recently bought myself a racing sim setup. Wheel, pedals, gear stick and racing seat. Hours of fun. I've mostly been playing Gran Turismo Sport but also picked up F1 2021 and Assetto Corsa Competizione. Driving an F1 car with all the assists turned off is fucking hard.

Ughhhhh I just finished Persona 5 and am now stuck in that horrible place that I always find myself at the end of a long game, especially a great one such as P5 in which I can’t fathom what I’d play next, nor does anything sound appealing other than jumping right back in for another playthrough despite the fact that ain’t nobody got time for that.
I really want to get the Royal edition and experience the remaining bits, but already the base game took me 122 hours to get through... I sure wish Persona 4 Golden was on PlayStation 4 or Switch. I think the only game I could see myself playing next is that, because it was phenomenal and continues the great story plus heartwarming vibes. Persona 4 and 5 are both just incredible games.
I could just re-enter my no video game stage, but now that I know I’ll be moving into a permanent daily family man life after summer, I feel now I need to take this last chance to push out any games before it’s too late.

I feel so lame, but I'm actually playing New Game+ on Persona 5 now because I can't shake the feeling and desire for more Persona. I know there are a ton of great games out there, but I've been in such a weird place as a video gamer in that I find it very difficult to invest my attention and energies to a new game. I am habitually someone who just replays the great games I love of my past. I think I should probably start going all in on emulators for SNES and start playing through my favorite RPGs.
Aside from Persona 5 again, I decided I will purchase Shin Megami Tensei V. Perhaps by the time I've finished P5 again it will finally finish downloading to my Switch with these awful wifi speeds I experience here. lol

Spent a lot of time playing Gran Turismo 7 since it came out last week. I've got some upgrades to my racing sim rig on the way from Germany so it's great to have a new game to test it out on. I feel like I'll inevitably going down the PC gaming route once I've exhausted GT.
Also playing through Horizon Forbidden West. It looks spectacular on the PS5. I'm not having quite as much fun as I did with the first one. The experience just isn't that fresh. Still a really well made game though.

I'm near the end of Shin Megami Tensei V on the Switch. Almost 70 hours in. I really had mixed feelings about it. It's not well-paced for people who like RPGs to have story and action intertwined more regularly. This thing feels like the Dark Souls of RPGs in a way. Not very story-forward. That is, until you reach where I am in the game, and suddenly you get more explanation for the setting and storyline. It's kind of weird, but in a way, it works. I felt tired of constant fighting and grinding for a while there. But now I just find the world and story fairly compelling. I don't expect to replay it anytime soon, unlike its related counterpart in Persona 5, but it's definitely a cool one. I keep thinking I'll try Stardew Valley at some point, and then I just never can convince myself that it's the right game for me, Corvus. It looks like the perfect game to dive into for hours upon hours. Every time someone mentions it, my interest gets piqued. Maybe I should just try it out.

Finished Shin Megami Tensei V a couple days ago. That one turned out to be at its coolest in the endgame content. I love the story development at the end. Wish it had been more throughout the story rather than all packed at the end, but it was cool.
I saw that Earthbound got added to the virtual SNES collection for Switch so I’ve started playing that. Couldn’t be more stoked about it and the timing. Earthbound is one of those games I frequently call my favorite game of all time. If you haven’t played it yet and like old turn-based RPGs, this one is not one that should be missed. I’ve beaten it around 8 times or so and I still come back to it any way I can.

I finished off Earthbound for probably the 9th time. It flew by. I have definitely been gaming a lot more than usual, thanks to a lockdown and all. I also realized it's a shorter game than I had thought probably because I most of the RPGs I played that are more modern such as Persona 5 and Shin Megami and stuff are much longer games. I had different feelings playing through Earthbound this time around. In some way it aged super well, and in some it hasn't. Hard to describe. One thing I found odd was that the characters in your party rarely ever talk to each other, which means the storyline feels like they do not engage in too deeply with each other. But there are so many cool aspects to the game too that make it a classic in my heart forever.
Now I am playing Chrono Cross on Switch! I was super stoked when I saw it was getting a re-release on Switch. I loved it on PS One and I was craving a chance to play through it again for a long, long time. It showed up and it was an easy buy for me. PS One era RPGs were and still are my favorite.
